I had never heard of Musselman. But he's a teacher, demands discipline and builds from the defensive end first. I want our football coach to be just like him."

outlawhogeywells

did we ever find out if he can enroll now or December?

According to this article he is expected to compete for playing time this fall, so he will have enroll by August and fall camp to have a chance to play this year.

1st off- great pickup!  After this year DE is going to be scary thin so it is a huge need.  This kid can now get a year in the system and still have 2 years to play after we lose this group of Sr's

Secondly- why is Arkansas the only school in the country where graduate transfer's are counting on the current recruiting class and the overall 85??!!  This is our 22nd member of the 2016 recruiting class.  Tutt was #21.  We signed 20 in Feb.  Grad transfers (Raulerson) do NOT count on the class they came in on.  Only the 85

What that means is if we have 3 midterm enrollee's this December they will count back to the 2016 class and we can still sign 25 in Feb 2017 for a total of 28 new players we can sign for 2017

WPS!  I think he will develop into a goodun--versatile enough to play the three technique!  Welcome aboard Mr. Taylor! :razorback: ::hornsdown::
Turn up that damn jukebox!!

Unless you graduate from JUCO you count against your original class was always my take, or I guess the incoming class. That's like walk-ons before they are Jr's, they count against a recruiting class. That's why most guys are Jr's or Srs when they get awarded a scholarship, they just count against the 85.

I imagine our coaches and staff are aware of the rules and take advantage of them to the extent they can.

I am talking about Raulerson.  For whatever reason people think he counts on the 2016 class- in which he doesn't.  Taylor is our 22nd member of the 2016 class, not the 23rd

it was directed at the recruiting writers who apparently don't quite understand the rules of how grad transfers are counted.

Well, it doesn't matter what they think, it's only important that I know, or something like that according to Patton.

He is committed. He told all of the media he wanted to announce via twitter. Unfortunately, Otis decided he wanted to beat everyone to the punch. That is why Otis reported it 2 hours before anyone else, and then Rivals and WholeHogSports released it around the same time. The recruit was still on campus at the time, and expressing how he did not like that we reported it before he could announce it himself, so everyone had to take a step back and say just kidding.

Oh, no doubt, the article was based on a "source" was that the player who said he wanted to announce it on Twitter, first? Be first, don't respect recruits wishes, that will get you far, lol.

my grandpa was on his engineer corps. got a bronze star from Patton for figuring a way to cross the Rhine faster (backing the boats into the river and ditching the trucks in it). He quoted him often (including that one a lot).

Since we took the Ludendorff Bridge I can't imagine the military would allow soldiers to ditch trucks into the river.

Good measurables. Will take some development

Good measurables. Will take some development I feel it necessary to inject a bit of negativity following a positive remark although I've never seen the guy play. I like it to appear as if I know what the hell I am talking about...when I really don't.

2 to play 2 or 3 to play 2?  Sorry if I missed this already

AlmaHog2011

3 to play 3 I think? This is a way under rated pick up this kid has speed and size he will blow up under this weight program.

Correct, ran track at some small NC school, and then went to JUCO last year. If his hours transfer from the NC school, he'll be here in August with 3 to play 3.

yraciv

Do we slap a shirt on him? Usually our JUCO guys are ready to go, but I'm not sure with this one. The measurables certainly look the part! Welcome!

He doesn't have one, they'll use him if they can. I suspect special teams at least if the speed is legit.

So you think a lightly recruited JUCO will be instant impact this season?  And I'm the one who doesn't know what I'm talking about?  C'mon man. He has very nice measurables and is lucky to be playing for a staff that develops guys well. Looking forward to seeing what he contributes over the next 3 years.

So are you just stating the unnecessarily obvious in the sense that he's new or do you have inside information indicating he needs more development than would be assumed? He's 250lbs and runs a 4.6 so based on these measurables so alone he has the athleticism to play for any team in the SEC.

But you're just guessing.  You really don't know one way or another.

Odds are you're right, but we'll see how it turns out.  He could be a 3rd down pass rushing specialist this fall.
