That's what I'm thinking.  With Tennessee, Florida, UNLV open and probably A&M going to open up, the powers that be may wait another year so there won't be so much competition to land a "name" coach.  Norvell is not proven enough to step into a SEC hot-seat, Gus isn't coming back, don't think Leach would come to The Hill; WHO WOULD THEY GET IF BB IS LET GO?  Probably another year of hearing "we're so close"...........

Using multiple sources, without tipping what I had been told by others, four separate people that could be considered "connected", have told me to expect a Saturday announcement.

Things can always change, so I'll say NLT Monday for sure.

I'm afraid we're heading into long progression down. Similar to what Tennessee did after firing Fulmer (no, I'm not comparing Bielema to Fulmer). I'm not sure Malzahn will come, so We'll hire cheap, every 3-5 years. If we want to win, it's time to roll out the dough and get a big name and a big staff.  Enough money will get Patterson, Franklin, Kelly, Petersen, or someone of that caliber. Getting someone like this greatly reduces the risk of bringing in a new staff. We can hope that Norvell is the next Urban Meyer, but it's far more likely that he's the next Butch Jones. Just my opinion, but if we want to win, put your money into the staff and let the stadium upgrades wait. The staff will win more games for you.
