Seven Florida football players, including star wide receiver Antonio Callaway and top running back Jordan Scarlett, have entered into pre-trial intervention for felony charges related to an ongoing credit card fraud case.

The Tampa Bay Times and Gainesville Sun are reporting that Callaway, Scarlett, defensive lineman Keivonnis Davis, wide receiver Rick Wells, linebacker Ventrell Miller, linebacker James Houston and lineman Richerd Desir-Jones also entered the program. Defensive lineman Jordan Smith and offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort are still facing felony charges.

Seven of the nine Florida football players who have been suspended since before the season for alleged credit card fraud — including wide receiver Antonio Callaway and running back Jordan Scarlett —

If the players meet the requirements laid out by the State Attorney's Office, the felony charges recommended by the University of Florida Police Department on Sept. 25 will be dismissed.

In addition to Callaway and Scarlett, linebackers James Houston and Ventrell Miller, wide receiver Rick Wells, and defensive linemen Richerd Desir-Jones and Keivonnis Davis have been offered the pre-trial intervention.

The two who did not receive the offer — offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort and defensive lineman Jordan Smith — had too many charges recommended against them. Telfort could be facing up to 30 third-degree felony charges, while Smith could be facing 22 —

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — While he was in front of reporters Sunday night to talk about his decision to part ways with football coach Jim McElwain and the coaching search that now ensues, Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin was also asked about the Gators' nine suspended players:

"You know, there's still a student conduct review that has to take place and it wouldn't be appropriate for me to comment until that process has run its course," he said.
