If I'm UCF, I want to come out in the 2nd half and playaction right off.  The main problem?  Israel isn't a good passer.

If Smith's ankle holds up, this will go down to the end.  If not, and UCF starts throwing more, I expect another turnover or 2.

Well, lets see what kind of adjustments both teams make at halftime-  MSU gets the ball to open the second half.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

They really don't.   They have a true freshman QB who has less than a season of experience,  a big back who can pound the ball, and subpar linemen, paired with the worst hands at WR in the conference on the whole.

They play the way they do, because of the lack of talent on offense.

Well they arn't great talent-wise yeah, but I like Carrol..i think he'll be a good QB for them..I'd like to see them let him go a little more. Dixon is a good RB that can pound it..The blocking is horrible..you're right about the O line. I've seen better elusive running from Pegues than anyone they have on offense.

I like Croom, but all i see is ugly, conservative playcalling.

You call what will get you in the best position to win;  for MSU, that's pounding, pounding, pounding some more, then pounding again.

Watch their second half performance against LSU, when they let it all hang out trying to score, if you want to see truly ugly football;  it made their offense today look explosive.

"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own.

And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

So Barry actually had 2,850 including the Bowl (222, 5 TD's) and in only 12 games?

Why don't they add those stats post-mortem so to speak?

The record book is always dictated by  'the rule at the time of the accomplishment'-- thus, Barry's bowl numbers don't count.

He needs 76 more yards in the last 20 minutes to break Barry's record;  this is going to come down to the wire, folks.

Absolutely.  2 nice licks...

I just don't want to see Barry's record go.   He was such a fantastic back, and a joy to watch at all points in his career.  He deserves to keep the single-season mark a little while longer.

I agree, Erie.  As you can tell, I think KS is good.  I've enjoyed watching him this year.  Barry is on a whole other planet. And the # of games needs to always be mentioned.  Plus, BS did it in the Big 8.

I just don't like seeing KS get dogged in order to make DMac look better.  DMac is the bomb!  No need to hate on somebody else to prop our own up.  Not that you did that, because you didn't.  I'm just sayin...

Understandable;  KS is an outstanding back, but nobody, to my mind, is Barry's equal or better.    I'm not old enough to have seen Jim Brown play in person, but I can easily imagine what it would be like to be a person who did, who was trying to explain it to someone who'd only seen Barry;  nowadays,  I'm increasingly in their shoes.

This would have been a nice 401K bet huh?

Hell yes it was.   The Liberty is one of my 6 bowl week bets;  Paddy Power is retarded, officially, when it comes to College Football, so I make sure to exploit it whenever possible; they rarely if ever move off of the initial line offered by Vegas.

HDN will have his hands full with the MSU defense.

Penalty flags may be the difference in this game;  heck, they're usually for more yardage than the respective offense's drives.

The pass interference was a bad call.  Now the interception and they are actually moving the ball.  This is a dog fight.

Looks like MSU may be in clock melt mode now;  barring a huge play,  Barry's record may be safe-- with only 60 yards to spare or so.
