More info on the UA vs A&M game.  Sounds like the hogs have their contract with BP paid for in 1 game, plus money for coaches.  Real nice, and thanks Mr. Jones.

Let me explain how this works...  If I have four really good meals in a row, I am thankful for that and I do not withhold my thanks for fear that the next meal might suck.

I can't wait.  Is the Texas State Fair really that big of a deal?  If so I'll attend that as well

I hope the SEC accomodates our schedule to allow this.  If not, another reason to leave the SEC.  (Still more pros to stay though, IMO).
I need your truthful reply - lie, I will know it... and death will be no respite.

I think the SEC will as well.  They move games all the time to accomodate Thursday Night games.

It's close to downtown Dallas.  I hear things can get kind of hairy after dark.  I imagine during the day it is fine.

This is huge . . . . Arkansas is finally doing some things and making some decisions that say we want to be a big time football school.

Advice for reading posts on Hogville:  Think about how stupid the average person is.  Then, remember that half of the people are more stupid than that.  So relax and take it easy on 'em.

Sounds fantastic. That will be big time football. Come on recruits.

Can't be any worse than where the Arkansas State Fair is held in Little Rock. This is the kind of big time deal
Arkansas has been needing. WPS!

Tylerhog

I'll make that game for sure, neighbors here in Tejas are all aggies. Bring it Brotha!!

HOGPICKER

That will be one hot ticket. 80K seats unless they expand to 100K.  15K are club seats.  The team split might be under 40K each, and we could fill the whole thing with Hog fans.  Expect to pay NFL prices for this little party.  Personally, if they're only around $100/ticket, I'll be happy.  Regardless, I'll be there.

Recruits will love the opportunity to play in an ultra-modern $1.1bn stadium.

Too bad we didn't work that deal with the Whorns.  Anyway, I still get to let my Burnt Orange son-in-law take me to Austin to see the Hogs show out.  I get the tix, he drives, we win.

With a screen that streches from the 20 to the 20, 60 freaking yards for the big screen.

What a great Christmas present Petrino and this A&M game are to the Razorback Nation! :D

with this game does that in the LR games and the chance to either play ASU or UCA cuz I hope so!~!!!!

bonedoc

Pretty sure the new stadium is well away from Dallas in Arlington.  Even if was at Fair Park, we're there all the time at night for State Fair and it really isn't that hairy......nothing to be worried about.

forrest city joe

This is big for our recruiting in Texas. lots of thanks to Jerry Jones.

DocJones

Lots of excitement on the A&M side for this series.  It should be great for both schools.

I will do whatever it takes to get to this game each year!  Flying or driving--what fun this will be.  Living here in Atlanta all I hear about is the Great Outdoor Cocktail Party in Jacksonville.  (Of course they can't call it that anymore.  I wonder what this game will be called.  Any ideas of a nickname we might be able to attach????

TEXAS fans are entirely too self righteous to admit it but this is not good news for them. Both A&M and ARKANSAS have historically played 2nd fiddle to the cattle but a game in Dallas on national tv, during the same time frame as the Red River Shootout, with a 10 million dollar pot, in a brand new 1 billion dollar stadium for at least 5 years gives the Hogs and the Ags and incredible recruiting advantage.

Early games like this one can be a spring board for our season and get us off to a great start in the national ranks if we win.  Like the 2003 victory over texas and now we have a coach who can maintain us at that level.
