Not much chance of that happening, but  we'd still be the better team.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

If AsU beats USC.....oh wait. That didn't happen either.
Mizzou lost to Indiana last year and still won the SEC East.
But Indiana beat Mizzou & lost to Bowling Green. So was Bowling Green better than Mizzou?Geez.

That was Missouri's 11th straight road win.

Those guys just know how to win, and are mentally and physically tough, and very well coached. They play hard.

Like USC, their qb's ability to make a big play while under extreme duress was impressive, and the difference in the game. Both are cool customers when everything around them is collapsing.

Mizzou struggled to get that win over stAte. It took injuries to 4 key stAte players (QB and three defensive) for Mizzou to win that game.

A QB got hurt playing Mizzou? Tell me it isn't so.

Why does injuries matter?  So what?  Is anyone talking about Mizzou's top 4 RB's being hurt and not playing?  Is anyone talking about Mizzou having to play a 5th string walk on RB in that game?

See, it appears that injuries always seems to be an excuse on this board.  Why?  Every team has them.  The A-State players were injured during the game?  Is Mizzou not supposed to hurt anyone?

Nobody cares about who is hurt or who is not playing.  It's part of it.

Forget about Arkansas State and Missouri.  stAte plays Toledo in Toledo in two weeks.  That will be a better barometer at this point in the season.

Okay, so I'll play your little game. :)

Missouri was expected to beat Arkansas State by 21 points.

Let me repeat this...

Missouri was expected to beat Arkansas State by 21 points. Even with Mizzou injuries to contend with.

stAte wasn't expected to score much more than 10-12 points. Going by the stats sheets, stAte looked like the better team in almost every category. The only exception is total net yards, due to net rushing yardage.

So, again, tell me why Mizzou struggled against a team they were expected to dispatch of quite easily?

That should be a good game.  I think Toledo comes out on top.

Think you got the wrong game, Arkansas was expected to beat Toledo by 21 points, they were expect to beat ASU around 10-11 points. Got your point.

Mizzou ALWAYS does this.  Look at our history.  We play these teams close in the first half, then we find out a way to win most of them.

Also, where are you getting 21 points?  My bet was on a -10.5 line.  In fact, I took AState plus the 10.5 points because I knew better.  Our top RB was supposed to play.  He in fact did, but only had like 4 or 5 carries.  Still can't run yet.

But in the end, we found a way to win on the road.  Injuries are part of the game and you have to play with who you have.  No excuses, ZERO.

Toledo wasn't crying because their top RB was out nor should they have.

The injuries for Missouri not count? Their starting RB, Hansbrough, only had 4 carries before going out with an injury in the first quarter. Their 2 backups were also injured.

Was injured going into the game.  RH rolled an ankle on his first carry in game one.  Our injuries don't count.....:)  but seriously, they shouldn't.  Again, everyone has them.  It's football.

Both sides had injuries in the Mizzou/ASU game but if ASU had a decent vertical passing game they likely would have won. When you can't pass for more than 10 yards with consistency any decent defense can line up eight in the box and stuff the running game. Right now ASU has no QB that can hit receivers in stride 25-30 yards down field.

They will have beaten a well coached, talented team on the road.

If's and but's.  Perhaps Mizzou's defense had something to do with the passing game.  I'll take the win.

nah......Knightens passing sucks no matter whose defense it is. His only threat is his running game.

They had a shot at them in the bowl season, and lost 63-44.

I don't expect a more favorable result this time around.
