Love getting high ranked recruits but tbh it kinda feels like we've become the Arkantucky RazorCats.

I had Muss withdrawal until Boogie Fland committed today. One thing is for sure, every time we hit the floor there won't be many teams with more NBA talent than us. I hope Coach Cal can recoup the drive he had and make a deep run.

They feel liberated because they now won't have to deal with elite athletes and long winning streaks.

They now have a coach who will be learning on the job, as will whatever 2 and 3 stars that he can sign after he tells them drinking, partying and premarital sex isn't allowed. 

I pulled some posts from a couple threads over there when Boogie was still a commit of theirs. It's about as good as you'd expect. Didn't have much time so I didn't pull much but it's enough to get the gist.


Fland is an athletic guard who can shoot and create his own shot. He's also pretty solid at stealing the ball. He'd fit in well with what I know about Pope's style of play.

Boogie Fland ('24) is a stud. The kid is everything you would ever want in a PG. There is nothing he isn't good at. If there's a better PG/CG in the class, I would like to see him.

Boogie Fland is the perfect college PG. Love his game!

Fland is nothing like Ashton Hagans as a player and thankfully person. Boogie is a well respected leader who is very mature for his age (again he's age of a HS Jr/25 class member) and will be a fine addition to the program. I'd compare him to Quickley/Knight combo regarding past UK guards.

You all think Boogie will honor his NLI? Hope Pope calls him quick. He would be great in the offense.

Fland is the type of point guard you want every year. Highly skilled, team oriented and a winner. Couldn't ask for a better 1 IMO.

I hope he throws a wad of cash at boogie fland and keeps him, then I hope he comes in a blows up next year and gets drafted too 10! That would help send the proper message to the elite talent!
