...to being a good football team.

Our offensive line is statistically one of the worst in college football. Our receivers have trouble getting separation. Catching the football is also a bit of an issue. Our quarterbacks' completion percentage is around 57% which is horrible. Opposing offenses go through our defense like sh*t through a tin horn. I would not argue if someone called this the worst football team we have had since the days of Jack Crowe.

I'm pretty much ready for a few people, including our head coach and AD, to stop pissing on my feet and telling me it's raining. I'm about to drown, here.
Just remember "1-0"

to be fair games like that happen, we leave a lot of 3's open because we help to much and it ends up leaving someone wide open and a team like Vandy shoots the ball so well that they made everything that night.
I do understand what you are saying, but 2 of the 3 games before the Vandy game we lost. Lost @ Missouri, and Lost @OK State by 28. Again none of this really matters however because we finished great, my point is, everyone was already conducting their own coaching search on here after that Vandy game.

Yes, there's a "reflective" intent to this post. Like everyone, it's impossible for me to fully grasp the depths we've fallen to this season. But if you think farther back, there were some "up" times during BB's watch that were fun.

Here are a few candidates (and I'll add, these seem like a hundred years ago)

2016 Liberty Bowl. 4523 win over Kansas State. A solid win. This is the first one I thought of, since it capped off an 8-5 season. And unbelievably, a season with a 5-3 SEC record.

2014 LSU and Ole Miss shutouts. I'm grouping these 2 back-to-back games for a couple reasons. They stopped the bleeding of SEC losses. And, I remember how happy I was for our players, the emotion they showed winning the Boot back, and the optimistic feeling about our program. The Ole Miss blowout, in the rain, was one of the funnest games I've been to in the last 10+ years.

2014 Texas Bowl. How could pounding the Longhorns not be on the list?

What else?

You call a win against that weak and slooooww KSU team "solid"??  They had a WR playing QB.

Receivers are talented but extremely young. They have to improve on not giving away their routes early and the line has to hold up for them to get some separation. You have to find a balance between using your QB's skillset and not overloading the inexperienced receivers, it's a contributing factor to going uptempo.

Offensive line. IDK.

Well, coaches can improve and USC did have scholarship limitations when he was there.

Lane has been apart of several NC coaching staffs. To think he peaked in his 30's would be a mistake

There is nothing about him that excites me. He would be looking for his next job the second he set foot on campus

I know he had an alcohol problem for a bit...

I'm not sure you understand how alcoholism works.

I know he had an alcohol problem for a bit but he's an Offensive guru. I think it would be a good fit. He's got a good resume. He's currently the OC for the Atlanta Falcons. Thoughts?

No such thing as "having" an alcohol problem, he has one.  See our past drunk basketball coach

Waste of breath with those that will just make up some lame excuse as to why he does not get credit for it.  Other than on poor coaching hire in a sport people actually care about, that at the time of the hire looked like a steal, what has he done wrong.

Rape. Voyeurism. Failing to thoroughly investigate an abusive volleyball coach. JLS.  Bert. Hanging on to Pelphrey too long. Twisting facts to garner support to fire Petrino.

Need me to keep going?

I feel about Kiffin the way many of you feel about Gus. If he were hired I would lose interest in Hog football. The man failed at USC and did Tenn dirty.

He actually did well at USC considering the amount of sanctions they were under at the time.

Let's make this happen.

I'm bet Kiffin asked Clay Travis to float this. He was on Clay's show Friday
That would not surprise me at all.  I think Lane would do that.
