Oregon State beats Cal State Fullerton in the first game of the day. OSU looks the part and has quite a pitching staff. Fullerton is dangerous also, but struggle to hit the ball.

Mr.Swine89

LSU down early to Florida State. 3-1 in the top 3rd. Lange is leaving the ball up a little and FSU can actually hit this year. They don't look like your normal FSU team that comes in overrated and weak. The Busby kid is the real deal.

Mr.Swine89

FSU up on LSU 4-3 top 6th

I'm still steamed at the CSF coach.
I mean really your starter was still pitching well but he's thrown over 90 pitches so you don't bring him out for the 6th.
You're up 5-1 / then you leave your reliever in long enough to walk 4 batters - 2 of those back to back the first 2 he faced. By the time the 6th inning crapshow is over with the game is tied.
Frustrating.

That was a pretty sorry move. That kid was dealing and Oregon State had no answer for him. He at least gets 25 more pitches in my book. That reliever he brought in didn't stand a chance. Went 3-0 on 5 out of 6 batters and couldn't spot anything up. Either LSU or FSU will beat Fullerton Monday.

Yep - that starter deserved better than what he got. Then I felt extra sorry for him when they talked about his Mom passing away 2 years ago / how he didn't pitch well the last time in the CWS and how determined he was to do well this time. And the poor kid did - his coach let him down.

That play right there (LSU single + 2 errors to score tying run) is why Vitello sent the runner that one time late in the year that many people questioned. You make the other team make a play, especially when you aren't hitting well.

LSU has to be the luckiest team on the planet! LOL! It may just be their year.

So true. That play wasn't dissimilar from the 8th or 9th inning of our Saturday game.

FSU now feels our pain...3 errors on one play and 2nd time in the game LSU scores a runner from first in very odd fashion.

I don't really view LSU as lucky - they make their own luck.
They have an attitude that they will not lose.
You see that confidence in them every year.

Last year he was hit in the mouth with a baseball twice in 3 days, that has a little to do with it. Tough dude, never missed a pitch.

are you trying to tell me that the play against FSU allowing them to tie it up and eventually go ahead was dreamed up in Paul Maneir's head ?  talk about magical thinking...there were two recored errors but really 3...FSU should be tucked in their beds at the hotel room a winner, but once again, LSU and their sheer ability to cause errors by the opposing team rules the day....horse excrement...they are lucky as a 3 dk'd dog

I read this morning in the paper (Times-Pic) that every LSU freshman class since 1983 has been to Omaha.

right fielder miss plays routine single, in which the runner from first had already stopped at second,  then short hops the throw into second.
short stop makes decent throw home, catcher does not catch it, and run scores.

that my friends is luck.

Let's not kid ourselves....there is a huge element of luck involved in baseball. But, they bring a lot of it about by never quitting and continuing to put pressure on the other team for 9 innings.

3 errors on 1 play is how you go up a run in the 8th to probably 0-2 and BBQ

I loved her when she played point guard for La Tech - just seemed so sweet with those pigtails and was a heck of a basketball player. Today - she just doesn't look like a very nice person - like a smile would kill her or something.

they finally ran into a game where the other team didn't field like little leaguers for an inning and the hp ump didn't give them below the knees and off the plate away.

I feel sorry for the kid, but this is more than a one time mistake.
From what I've read he has gotten counseling which he really needed and I hope he's still getting.
This was abuse of a family member who was 4 years old when it started and he was 13 / continued until the girl was 6 and he was 15.
