  • I think this team has the potential to be better than last years team.So with a tougher schedule we could (should) win about the same as last year. Also go farther in the ncaa tourney. (sweet 16 or better)

I think the non-conference stretch is going to be vitally important this year. Would be really nice to get to 10 wins besides the conference games.

  • definitely believe that this team could easily get to 24wins  at least.  probably a 1st round win in Ncaa , and since we'll probably be an 8or 9 seed we'll have to play a what, 4 seed or better in 2nd round,  it'd be cool if we could play UNC and then kick their arse.  hate them.    still hoping that the academic fraud and stuff gets them and gives them a bunch of sanctions.  they deserve it.  they were allowing players to use a fake class basically for 18yrs haha.. anyways..  im predicting at least 24wins..  1-1 in sec tourney, 1 win in big dance,  so a total of 26wins!  not a bad season in my book.

I think barford and macon will both be studs.  i believe that Gafford will step in and be pretty good. i saw that he's added about 15lbs of muscle.  looks every bit of 6'11 230lbs+,  i believe that we'll see a lot more of what Made Cook a top 5 juco player.  Usually takes juco's a year to get adjusted.. not so much in Barford and Macon's cases, but, hopefully they both are just more consistently and bring their juco scoring averages to this court this season.  Garland and Hall, both of those guys  being in that 6'6 athletic types range.  those guys are pretty dang good too!  We sort of saw a breakout with Adrio bailey during the UNC game.  If he can work on an add more to his jumper, he has every bit of dunking power that Qualls had.  Beard could have a great season too.  never know.  we have quite a bit of talent, and we are building on it.  i really believe Mike will get it done here.  Yes, it does suck that we lost the 1 kid from next years class, but, this team here will be good, add what we have in this class, and if we retain most of them, and then add next class with the leftovers from this season, man that could really be special..  it especially would have been in my mind, a final 4 caliber had Mr.Perry stuck with his 1st decision.  But, there will be so much talent on the team, im not sure if we will need him to be a final four team!  Woo pig!

  • SEC finals against..............who else but UK.
4 or 5 seed in the tourney.
    Sweet 16 round.

I believe this team will struggle a bit in the non conference schedule before putting it all together in January. 12-6 or better in SEC play. Giving this group the benefit of the doubt in SEC road play. The month of February is going to be pretty special for all of us!

We won 6 road games last season.

Our home record will depend a lot on fan participation. If the atmosphere returns, winning all our home games becomes within the realm of probability and not just possibility.

Our Ooc schedule will give us an opportunity to be prepared heading into conference play for the first time in years. It will be interesting to see if this team will progress from last season and from the start of the season.

If we win the SEC tourney, I think we can make the elite 8.  I would love a sweet 16 appearance but would not be upset with a round 32 appearance. It lets me know we are consistently performing better and we are one good class away from something special.

I think after a year full of bombing threes, finally we can't buy a bucket and our inside game fails us.

    +1

I think he'll be closer to 3 bpg and one of the leading offensive rebounders in the SEC. Whomever wins that other wing spot is really the X-factor. We'll be a better team if we can afford to bring Anton off the bench...

  • 22-9, don't ask me how. One thing that bothers me is how much hype A&M, AUB, MIZ, and Bama are getting. Outsiders are looking right over us. I'm a very objective fan and think we have a good chance of winning the SEC.

Edit: National analysts are paid too much to not dig deeper than the latest recruiting class. It's pretty sad. The fact our 2 best players went the JUCO route is a tough sell to the general CBB fan.

They have enough talent but I think they're a year away. Maybe they're ready now but that's a sophomore-heavy team. To your point, though, they shouldn't be talked about more than the Hogs, but if that is what needs to happen for us to continue to finish inside the top 3 in the SEC....so be it.
