(ADG) First 40 days are whirlwind for Arkansas’ Pelphrey

Friday marked John Pelphrey's 40 th day as Arkansas' basketball coach and his first day to grant interviews since an April 12 news conference (he also gave a few comments on the hiring of assistant coach Rob Evans on April 16 ).

In between, he's been avalanched making the transition from South Alabama, where he coached for five years. It's been a mad mix of jetting around the country looking for players, getting to know his new team, trying to buy a house in Fayetteville and tying up loose ends in Mobile, Ala., where his family is packing up. That only begins to describe his introduction to the job.

Wow 40 days.
Doesn't seem like it's been a month plus since he was hired.
Glad we hired him.  He wants to restore the program and is passionate.  He'll make us proud.
