Arkansas' career leader with 64 touchdown passes, quarterback Brandon Allen became the fifth Razorback selected in the 2016 NFL Draft when he was taken by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round with the 201st overall pick Saturday afternoon.

Allen became the fourth Razorback taken on Saturday over a 46-pick span and is the 10th quarterback in program history to be selected in the NFL Draft.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
