I assume he was stating facts as new thread reason, otherwise  he just wanted to stand out. ;D

Quote from: Razrpig256 on Yesterday at 10:20:19 pmIt's been around 90 on the scoreboard gun most of the season from what I remember. Been concerned for a while though. Not necessarily about injury, just about consistency

He's been 90-91 topping 93 most outings.  Last night was more like 88-90.  He has so e 86s that I don't know if they were fastballs or otherthrown change ups.

Which of These Deals Do You Make for the 2024-25 Kentucky Basketball Season?

by: Bryan the Intern

QuoteLife is all about choices and deals. John Calipari made a choice after this season that it was time to leave. Mitch Barnhart made a choice to give the program back...

So what I've done is come up with a series of deals you could make for the 2024-25 season.

DEAL 1: SWEPT BY TENNESSEE BUT BEAT ARKANSAS
So this deal has a couple of different aspects. First and foremost, you are trading 2 losses for 1 win. And one of those losses will be at Rupp Arena. Secondly, Rick Barnes seemed to have John Calipari's number for much of the back end of his tenure. I think this annoyed a lot of fans because it seemed UT was outcoaching the Cats in many of those games. Getting swept by the Vols in Year 1 of the Pope era wouldn't change that idea much.

But on the flip side, you beat John Calipari and Arkansas in Rupp Arena. That will be one of the most highly anticipated games in recent memory. I think for almost every UK fan, and certainly, those who were cheering for a coaching change, beating Calipari will be sweet vindication.

DEAL 4: MAKE THE FINAL FOUR BUT LOSE TO ARKANSAS THERE
How about this one? Kentucky makes a Final Four in Year 1 of the Mark Pope era. We would be so back. But what if John Calipari's Hogs were waiting for us there and Arkansas got the win? Keep in mind that means Arkansas would be in the national championship game in Year 1 with the coach we largely pushed away. But it also means that Mark Pope can clearly succeed at a high level here, making a Final Four in his first year. So you would know the program was in good hands but also would have an absolute crushing defeat to end the season.

Legend performs at Kentucky NIL Gala

by: Adam Stratton

QuoteIt is unclear if Drake will stay loyal to Kentucky basketball after John Calipari's departure, but Big Blue Nation now has John Legend in its corner. Legend is the uncle of the Wildcat's speedy wide receiver, Anthony Brown-Stephens, and don't think for a second Vince Marrow is going to let a good connection go unused.

At the Club 15 NIL 500 Strong Gala on Friday, contributors to the collective received an intimate concert experience from the music icon. Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow also took the opportunity to present Legend with his own Kentucky Football jersey, complete with his nephew's No. 5.

Mark Pope also spoke to a crowd of NIL donors. Now that Kentucky's football and basketball coaches are on speaking terms, Pope took the mic and gave a few inspiring words once Mark Stoops introduced him unexpectedly.

"I'm a die-hard Kentucky fan and watching what Mark Stoops has done over the last decade has just been incredible." Pope also gave a shoutout to Kerr Kriisa, who was also in attendance. "If you don't know him, you will."

Goodyear 400

2 p.m. CT on FS1

By Thomas Lagrone |

Racers head toward Turn 1 at the start of a NASCAR Cup Series auto race at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., Sunday, May 5, 2024

QuoteHeading into the Goodyear 400 race at Darlington, there are four drivers with more than 400 points: Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr., Chase Elliott, and Denny Hamlin. All four of these racers finished in the top 5 of last week's race, but Larson's win has increased his lead in the standings. So, numerous drivers will try to win the Goodyear 400 race and compete with Larson for first...

Sometimes it is strategic. Kareem Watkins, a Kentucky walk-on was DJ Wagner's half brother. Kareeem was at KY first and last year they got to share the floor together at least one time on Senior Night.

Don't think the problem is Todd. The problem is the coaches listed above and below him. MN wife is hated by all the players I think

Quote from: ChitownHawg on Yesterday at 10:22:12 pmAccording to Tyson he didn't throw millions at our NIL. He said he gave money to the Foundation to go toward Cal's salary.

So I think some boosters gave and regular fans added as well due to the excitement of hiring Cal.

But I would have no problem if your theory turned out to be accurate. As long as we win is all that matters.
Tyson said he brought in other families. So I guessing a bunch of his rich buddies broke out the check book
