? for the recruiting gurus (Katy's Breydon Boyd, Boise St. lean)

There's a LB on the Katy HS team that gave a verbal to Iowa State earlier this spring. The reason I have an interest in this youngster is that his Uncle and the  Katy Offensive Coordinator's father and I are all friends.

Our connection is that we all were Troopers and Supervisors with the Texas Highway Patrol and all 3 of us went through the same patrol school as classmates. Yeah, we're all old retired codgers now but we're forever brothers from other mothers!

Based on the limited info I have, other than family insight, the kid is thumper at LB, returns punts (decent speed & elusiveness) and is very strong in the academic side of school and plays for one of the premier football programs in Texas.

Youngsters name is Breydon Boyd and I'm curious as to what the guys that follow HS recruiting know about him and if he'd be an player that Hogs have on their radar for future needs at LB.

Looks like Iowa State severed ties with him last week. Wonder what that was all about? Looks like a decent player with some solid offers nonetheless.
