That is the Cards record against the stinking Royals.  How does the team with the 7th best record in the majors lose all four games played against the team 7th worst record in the majors.  We've been out scored 16-6 in those 4 games.  There is no way we are going to win the WC much less the division if we can't win against the lower teams we play against.

If you can explain that then you can explain how the 1984 Tigers went 6-6 vs the 6th place Mariners and 98-52 vs the rest of the league.

The only explanation is that they go into another gear against the Cards...beating their cross state rivals is the closest thing they'll be able to come to any kind of championship for awhile. (Kind of like when the Cubs were putrid, they always seemed to take the series with the Cards.)

It's their World Series.

Since they are 13-3 in interleague play this year I don't buy that.

That's what I like to see.  We need to win at least 2 of the 6 against the Royals to stay respectable.
