Fall Softball competition started today

The team took on Neosho CC in a game that was originally scheduled for last week but was R/S to today. It was Neosho's final competition of the fall (per their website), and Arkansas' first. The teams agreed to play a 10 inning game.

Hard to say much about this -- Neosho is bad even for a JC team (at least their record last year was terrible). If you look at what the team twitter account put out during the game (not much, and why would they?), it seems like Moll pitched four innings (6K's), Warrick (sophomore transfer from TN-Martin) pitched two, and Storms (freshman) pitched some also. Not clear if Storms pitched the last four innings, or whether others came on. HR's from Hiers, Warrick, Cooper, Yanetti, and Schroeder.

Next competition is Wednesday, when Crowder comes to town for a DH. It looks like it will be Crowder's seventh game of the fall season. Unlike Neosho, Crowder had a strong season last spring, so hopefully we'll get a little more of a test.

Moll is getting the start in Game 2. Interesting (to me, anyways) that Hedgcock not getting innings thus far. The offense sure seems to be doing well so far.

The Hogs split their doubleheader against OK State today. They dropped the first game 9-5 but won the nightcap 4-3. On the road in Stillwater.

No information yet about who pitched, hit, etc. Only info comes from OK State Softball twitter, who understandably covered only the Cowgirl players.
