Can they execute it in our building?  This game scares me because Tennessee is a good team and they shut us down in Knoxville.

They didn't shut us down.  It was even at halftime.  We were awful to start the second half and let them get up 15 before our late rally came up just short.  We should win comfortably at home.

Not sure I would go that far with it. There is no reason to believe that we are going to win comfortably against hardly anyone remaining on the schedule, I expect another hard fought game that we sneak out there with a win.

FCJ because you add so much to this board by repeating yourself a hundred times.

I said we *should* win comfortably.  Tennessee has proven to be better than I gave them credit for a few weeks ago.  That said, they have taken advantage of a pretty weak conference schedule to this point.  They have a surprising 3 road wins in conference play already, but all three are against the bottom three teams in the conference (Mizzou, USC, and Miss St).  Winning in Fayetteville is a much tougher challenge than winning in Columbia or Starkville.

They won't win in Bud Walton. we are going to kick their you know what.and i can't wait to see us do it.

Tennessee doesn't have the blueprint at all. They have an awful three point defense and no big man capable of out-muscling Portis inside.

They beat us because we failed to crash the offensive glass and turned it over too many times. Fix those things and I think we win.

We also played horrendous against their zone, and gave them wide open look after wide open look. They made us look bad in many facets of the game but only managed a single point victory. I think we shoot better, they shoot a little worse and we force more TO's this game and win.

Vegas says we are favored 6 MORE points than when we played at Tenner.

Thepigdoctor

We beat ourselves in Knoxville. Hogs limit turnovers to single digits, win by 24.

HouseOfHam

Lolol.

I would be surprised if we didn't win this game by 20 plus

Yeah but we haven't covered the spread in our last two games.

Who is our Coach?

Tennessee threw  a 2-2-1 press at us that they really hadn't shown all year, and it caught us off guard.  The 2-2-1 they ran isn't really intended to turn you over, although it will accept the ball if you are careless with it, which we were in Knoxville.  The real purpose is to slow the opponent down, milk time off the shot clock, and get you out of offensive flow.  It worked, and we looked unprepared for it.  I hope we are prepared to attack it.  Of course, shooting better than 40% would help, which we haven't done in a while.

Didn't watch that one.  We looked at it like it was Chinese math and obviously weren't ready for it.

Did they leave a blue print on the blueprint?  Is that how we know they have it?

Just don't turn the ball over and they have no chance.

Thinking back on the game at Tennessee, and look at who Tennessee has played so far in SEC play -- I feel pretty confident about this game. And we're coming off two wins. I'm thinking the boys will be ready for revenge tonight. I think we show out tonight and add another good RPI win.

The blue print for beating us when we are on the road?  Well I'd hope so, our esteemed former chancellor gave that blue print away to the whole country when he ran Nolan out on a rail.  Ever since then that blue print has been basically two words:  "Show Up."

elksnort

Tennessee led by the Pilbury dough boy is beating us with only 9 scholarship players, a first year coach against a team with a coach in his 4th year.

Hhhm?

We are losing because of a lack of talent at certain positions?
We are losing because our coach can't or will not make adjustments?
Help me out.

Tenn ran out of gas the last several minutes.  After Madden's 3, they were pretty much done.

Given that was our 3rd game in 5 days, we haven't had a whole lot of time to work during the week.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Bottom line 3 good guards are going to be tough on this team because our guards are slow.  Madden, qualls and bell all aren't quick enough to hang with their guards.  We've got length but that won't always cut it.  Either way, Mike has got to get this team understanding how to play the pick and role 30 feet from the basket.  Great win though and wasn't ever really in doubt.

TN blue print did not work out so well did it? they lost!just like i said they would.
