Year 4 and they just won the PAC 12 south.  Their coach inherited nothing in terms of fanbase and personnel,  but here they are in the conference championship.  Before anyone else spouts off about the PAC 12 is not the sec west, that's not what this is about and besides this year is the worst in recent memory to have that argument.

And KY beat Louisville, anyone think Stoops is great?  CO also went like 2-23 in the pac12 in his 1st 3 seasons. 

What I do like about CO they seem to actually embrace a defense 1st philosophy. Their safety play is exceptional.

I don't think the offense has been the problem.  Not going to win the SEC without a good defense.  So "modern" football or not it doesn't matter if you can't stop anyone.
