Kansas is always that bad, minus the Mangino era.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

1938 the last time they beat Texas.  Yeah strong is done there.

Kansas sucks no matter who's coaching.

Not really.

Mangino coached there, took them to a BCS bowl, and took them to one third of the total bowls in school history--   despite them playing football for *126* years.

He had 1 good season. As I recall, more losing seasons than winning ones.

You'd be remembering wrong.

Kansas without Mangino, historically, was/is a 530-569-58 (.458)  program--  and keep in mind, this is even heavily padded with the first twenty years of Kansas playing a mixture of small college and HS programs--  while Mangino had a winning record at Kansas.
