MSU was only averaging like 14 pf per game. IIRC they are called for fewer fouls per game than any other team in the sec.
well like I said after that, even with the foul disparity, ARK led the game with 1:38 to go.  And if we hit a few more of the 12 opportunities at the line that we got, it all would have been moot anyway.  The game was very much winnable even with the inequity in fouls.

My problem is that Mike wont get mad.  Sometimes getting tossed out or at least getting one technical but showing your team that you wont put up with the crapt can be good and can spark them.  Nevertheless, the Hogs had ample opportunities to win that game and beat the refs along with MissStake but just did not do it.

Didn't know the goal was to keep the FT numbers as even as possible.
I can see you know relatively nothing about basketball if you stand behind that ignorant statement above. The goal is not to make the FT numbers as evenly as possible. However, there is no way under God's green Earth given the way MSU plays an aggressive man to man that they accrue as few fouls as they did against ARK Tuesday night at Starkville. Look, if they (MSU) packed in a tight zone and all we did was gun three pointers, yeah, I can get that. But their guards were picking up our guards the moment the Hog guards crossed mid court. MSU was in our jersey from flag-fall to finish and with the superior athletes we had you are in here trying to convince everyone that MSU can guard Barford, Macon and Beard straight up without fouling even though we didn't just settle for outside shots ? No way in hell, brother. That wasn't the 97' Chicago Bulls we were playing out there it was MSU and they were allowed to hand check, grab jerseys, come over the back for boards. Basically MSU had it completely their way Tuesday night. If we get MSU again, anywhere, we'll beat them by 15 to 20 in a handy fashion. I could understand the foul discrepancy if the UA guards were not so athletic, but Tuesday night made the WWE Summer Slam look legitimate. Get real, fella.
The long Grey line will never fail our country.

Miss State averages 14.5 a game and ranks 8th overall in NCAA and first in SEC. Arkansas averages 20.4 a game and ranks 290 overall in NCAA.

well they are on the road today and are playing much softer defense than they did against Arkansas, much, much softer, and they have over 10 fouls at half. so there is that. did you mention that they played 85% or more of their games thus far at home? do you believe that could have something to do with those stats?

Arkansas does rank 102 in FT attempts at 330 or 23.6 a game as Miss State ranks 202 with 290 FTA or 20.7 a game.

No, variables are not listed in those stats. Just as they aren't listed for Arkansas who have played mostly home games too.
