uh, maybe if they win the SEC tourney?

Maybe, but I think the highest seed we could get is a 7.

Maybe a 6. We will have beaten some good teams if we win out.

If we had beaten Kentucky we might had a chance. I think at this point win the last 2 then the SEC tournament and we get a 6 which I think is better than a 5 because you don't face a 1 seed until the elite 8.

I think we could get a 6 by winning the next 4 w/o winning sect

Agreed. That would be 24 wins against a very tough schedule. If they won the SEC title game I think they'd go even higher.

Depends on how the other at-large or bubble teams finish (as well as the Hogs).

This.

You don't really want the 4, 5, 8, or 9 (the 12, 13, and 16 will go to small to mid major conference qualifiers).  Yes, you're in the same half of the bracket with the 2 and 3 seeds, but those schools that are ranked number 1 didn't get it just on reputation.

I think the only way a 5-seed is attainable is if we win out including the SEC tournament.  Even then, I'm skeptical to say a 5-seed is possible.

I mean if we did do that, win out and win the SEC tournament, we'd be 25-9 and accumulate one or two wins over Auburn and probably a win over Kentucky in the process.

The bracket will be pretty well set before the finals of the sec tourney.

Win out and win the tourney and five seed is doable. That would put us at 26 or 27-9. Winning out would include a win over Auburn and a couple neutral court wins over good teams.

We'd be 22-9 going into the SECT.

We'd be 11-7 in conference play, and either the 3rd or 4th seed for the SECT.

To win out, we'd be 25-9, with at least one-- probably 2-- wins over Auburn and likely Tennessee.

That's a 5 seed, in most bracketing situations.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Shoot, we are already at a 7/8 seed today. Auburn at home and @ Mizzou are both quadrant 1 opportunities. We win both of those we get the #3 seed and a double bye. Get three more Q1 opportunities. We've won 3 to 4 Q1's all year and we'd more than double it in two weeks.

I'd say a #4 seed is more realistic if we win out.
