Listened to the Jim Rome interview of Musselman today. Few days old. Reminded me of a lot of things I like about Eric Musselman. I think he'll do great at USC.

But Arkansas hired John Calipari. So, I think we win.

Quote from: Hogeye_Pierce on Today at 11:03:29 amMuss is kind of a coaching meteor. Burns brightly for a short period of time but flames out just as quickly. It was time for him to move on and both sides knew it.

Great metaphor.  Arkansas looks like his longest stop as a head coach.  It wasn't like we ran him off.  The Hogs had a bad year.  So what?

Muss is an interesting guy and a good coach.  But I wasn't surprised he left and won't really miss him.

Quote from: 007 License To Squeal on Today at 12:31:29 pmCal is going not going to have to settle for left-overs.  He is the big Hog at the table.

I think y'all are misunderstanding.  I should've said fewer, not less.

I think other teams are feeding bullshiz info to other teams, these recruits, and transfer portal players saying that "UK is willing to offer $1 million/year for so and so" or "Jerry Jones is willing to double any UK offer" and then when these players get to their visit, them and their people are expecting astronomical amounts, so they start the negotiations way too high and we have to settle a little higher than we would've simply because of a bunch of rumors and innuendo surrounding what others/we are willing to offer.

Presale codes tend to benefit scalpers more than fans. In fact, a lot of what Ticketmaster does makes it easier for scalpers to get tickets earlier than real fans.

Quote from: hawganatic on Today at 12:33:33 pmYou can write a contract any way you want as long as both sides agree to it.  Can make the payout over two years giving options to cancel the contract after certain timeframes, and without mentioning the school or having to stay at any one place.

I don't know if this is what they are doing, but the multi-year deals can be done without it being considered "pay for play".

Why would anyone agree to a multi year deal unless the figures were beyond insane (5M plus)
