Oklahoma transfer QB General Booty has received early interest from ULM, Samford, Tulsa and UTSA, @PeteNakos_ reports.

Booty started in the NJCAA at Tyler Junior College where he threw for 3,115 yards and 25 TDs.

Kid was a big time heavily recruited QB out of HS and initially went to Oklahoma, then to JC as I recall. He'll make a great QB for someone.

by: Wade Peery

QuoteJames Madison player has followed their old head coach in the transfer portal. JMU transfer defensive back D'Angelo Ponds committed to the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday afternoon.

Indiana hired James Madison's old head football coach this offseason, Curt Cignetti, after he helped lead the Dukes to one of the most successful seasons in program history in the 2023-2024 campaign.

Ponds was one of the most highly sought-after defensive back prospects in the transfer portal, securing 22 scholarship offers since entering on April 26th. Ponds had offers from Auburn, Miami, Tennessee...

Quote from: Next1_04 on Today at 04:40:51 pmHe declined the G league invite at well. Great news.

Apparently so, but still working out with NBA teams ... bizarre as hell process -- again, until he formally withdraws from the draft process he's leaving his options open -- but FWIW here's the latest from Jonathan Givony ...

* NEWS: Arkansas commit Johnell Davis will decline his invite to the G League Elite Camp, a source told ESPN.

He'll conduct private workouts with select NBA teams prior to the NCAA early-entry withdrawal deadline on May 29.

Quote from: RazorbackRal on Today at 04:04:24 pmIs it not hard on their arms to warm up, come out for a couple of batters and then come out?  That that really save them for tomorrow?

Bullpen guys can get really good at getting hot on very few throws.  If you can keep the game throws under 30 pitches you can usually pitch the next day with no issues. But as was stated some guys can't do that or they get sore.  Some guys get sore the day after pitching and some have it the day after that.

Ole Miss trending for Drew Maddox

by: Hunter Shelton

QuoteRebels are trending to add another to the fold.

Hattiesburg Oak Grove four-star defensive lineman Andrew Maddox has accrued over 15 Power Four offers. His recruitment has had an SEC flavor thus far, with the Rebels and Auburn leading the way.

At the beginning of March, Ole Miss recruiting insider Zach Berry logged a pick in the On3 RPM in favor of the in-state program landing Maddox. Auburn insider Cole Pinkston previously logged a pick in favor of the Tigers, but opted to flip that prediction to Ole Miss on Friday.

That is ridiculously outdated.

I'm thinking 27 is about right but no partial scholarships.
