JJ has hit so much better his last few AB it seems like. Give him a series, see if he can really get it going instead of these 1 game or PH here and there.

Quote from: Johnnie5 on Today at 08:36:37 amI would like Cal to use roster spots 11 12 13 on in state arkansas kids that need a few years to develope that understand they need a few years. Hometown kids that's want to play at arkansas and are OK with not seeing the court until there junior or senior year. Kids that just want to play for Arkansas.

That wouldn't be a bad strategy if you could find some guys like that.  Some guys with potential to be contributors in a few years, from Arkansas, likely wouldn't be looking for too much playing time and would be happy to be on scholarship at Arkansas.  I'm just not sure how many guys there are like that anymore.  The ones with potential will go elsewhere and get more playing time/exposure and then hope to come back to Arkansas (or go to the highest NIL bidder) after a year.

Quote from: Deep Shoat on Yesterday at 11:41:08 pmHe's already landed.  This weekend is the commitment photo shoot.  Likely announced Monday or Tuesday.
I think so to, if it was USC he would of announced already. We land wagner and Pryor and our roster doesn't have any holes. Add hawkins in there and we are scary. Just don't see us landing pryor and hawkins though

High-level players are becoming more and more scarce in the transfer portal with the window now closed. In another edition of Transfer Portal Insider, I discuss:

- Kentucky, Tennessee leading for scoring guard
- Arkansas in the mix for two players
- Notes on Kansas State, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, & more (behind paywall)

Two players:  DJ Wagner and Kasean Pryor?

Not much about A-State in the article, or a lot of respect for their players, but does get the point across the SBC will again be a tough league.

IMO they are focused on transfers too much-and IMO are biased toward P5 transfer, and are ignoring HS recruits, and standout players from  the power divisions.

Georgia baseball slugger Charlie Condon hits another home run milestone

QuoteThe Georgia baseball slugger smacked his 34th homer of the season Thursday night at South Carolina in a 14-10 Bulldogs win.

The solo shot in the second inning set a record for single season home runs in the BBCOR era going back to 2011 when college baseball switched bats. Condon was tied with Florida's Jac Caglianone who had 33 home runs last season.
