O, so now we've gone just full speculation about an individual's motives and desires because they didn't play up to expectations following an injury.

I really tire of this kind of crap. You, as the father of an athlete, should know better.

Ever think some guys just have limits? You of all people should know that.

Quote from: donnie on Today at 11:23:04 amI always take navy's posts as having some type of backing because last year he called Davenport when no one was even reporting he was a target.
not doubting one bit, but wonder why taking so long?

Quote from: BroyledNutts on Today at 12:18:33 pmThat Q1/Q4 tells me that their weekend starters are effective,
but their mid-week guys aren't great at all.
How do they hit against Q1/Q4 ... are they scoring >7, or <5 ...

There Q4 losses are too:

BYU (X2) - Home series loss in Big 12 play
Texas State - midweek loss at home
Washington (X2) - Home series loss in mid March (same weekend we swept Mizzou
Baylor - Won the series, but lost a game
Texas A&M Corpus Christi - midweek loss at home
UT Rio Grande Valley - midweek loss at home

So 5 of the losses have been on the weekend, but they have won series against TCU, OU and Ok State since that last midweek loss to UTRGV.  They have been playing better as the season has gone along.  Plus, there can't be that many teams who have won a regional the last 3 years like Texas has.

Quote from: donnie on Today at 12:24:51 pmPlayed almost exclusively at 5 last year. Can play 4 in some matchups but will get smoked defensively if he gets dragged to the perimeter and is forced to defend in space.
Offensively he's a 4 IMO. my main point is that Aidoo even at a forward size is the only offensive 5 we have. If Hawkins comes he'll know that he's not going to be the primary 5. But he also probably should realize there will be times when Aidoo is out that he will be the primary 5, especially offensively.

You're right about Z's limitations on defense. Hopefully he'll improve. He got muscled around inside some playing the 5 defensively.

Freeze on transfer portal bidding wars: 'Don't feel comfortable'

by: Sam Gillenwater

QuoteEvery coach and program has to have a philosophy about how they're going to go about this new era in college athletics, whether in regards to the transfer portal, NIL, or both. For example, those are all things that at times can make Auburn's Hugh Freeze uneasy.

"Yeah. It's a challenge to know if your way is the right way," said Freeze.

"I just don't feel comfortable with some of the bidding wars for some of the top guys in the portal," Freeze admitted.
