For someone that is not local to the Little Rock area, what are my options to watch this game? I have Directv, which the game is not listed and SEC+ does not appear to be streaming this game.

Response: unless their is an affiliated network for the Troy fan base, there is no television nor live streaming available for the hawgs fan base. It is my understanding This facility is not equipped to broadcast, I believe the UA razorback radio network will be available for the listening base

They are able to do video there. The Houston game a few years back was televised from there. I guess no one wanted to pick this game up for video.

If it is not available online, I'll just have to get the score.  I guess I'll go see The Last Jedi then.  My kids are begging to go.

Channel 7 used to put the games from Alltel/Verizon on and a couple of the games were on ESPN. WWE did a televised show from there a month or so ago so don't know where this myth of the arena not being up to standards to televise events came from.

And the men's NCAA  first and second round basketball games in 2008.

What year is this? Radio?  lol

I'm sorry. This just upsets me that I can't see the game. It's 2017. Get it together.

What? Why would you build an arena without that capability?

Isn't it funny how spoiled we become when it comes to watching games...  I lived in Northeast Texas during the 94-95 years... we would have to drive to a certain spot on a hill outside of town just to catch a radio broadcast out of Texarkana to catch the games.

I think it was only about 10 years ago that we had the very first season that you could watch every football game on TV. We live in marvelous times.

Sed76

It seems like the games stopped being televised from Verizon when the SEC Network started. Before then if they weren't on ESPN then KATV always televised them.

You can listen to the Razorback Sports Network/IMG on line here.  Pregame comes on one-half hour before tip.

There are all kinds of Lions, Tigers and Bears in college football.  But there is only one Razorback.  Beware the Tusks!!! They are coming

farfromgroovins

I remember the Sutton and early Nolan years where I watched a lot of games on KATV (channel 7) using the over-the-air antenna. Didn't even have cable or the WiFi or the interwebs....facecrack, tweeter, snapcrap....was Hogville even here?

Bought tickets last night in the nose bleed seats. Going to be cheering extra loud so they can hear me. I want CMA to look up at me in section 215 and say, "I hear you Hog fan."
Not many tickets left.

SEC Network ended all local televised events.  SEC says it's my way or the highway.  If it's not on SEC Network and not picked up by ESPN, CBS or FS1, you are out of luck.  Kentucky gets first priority in basketball and Alabama in Football.

This is pretty disappointing honestly. No reason to not have at least a stream available.

Actually this sucks!  Watch espn should have it.

Hogsfan1981

I should be happy that it is not $50 on pay per view. I just really want to watch every game I can. This is a fun team

Birminghog

Went to the Troy site. Appears no TV or vid out of there, either. Arkansas Gameday app for audio.

But they don't.   Just about every non-Kentucky/Florida team has one of these games a year, where it falls in the coverage black hole.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

It'd be televised if we played it in Bud Walton, but alas Verizon isn't setup to broadcast the same way Bud Walton is (part of our SEC Network deal). ESPN would need to send their mobile crew to cover the game and Arkansas vs. Troy just isn't a big enough draw. Which sucks...]

With the SEC Network deal the SEC Network/SEC+ is only required to broadcast the on campus home games.  With that Little Rock game it would be up to the UofA to pay for the broadcast crew/equipment to come out and put it on SEC+.  The only other option would be if CBS or ESPN wanted to pickup the game, and they are not going to do that because it's Arkansas vs Troy on a Saturday night in December at prime time, there's other higher profile games they are going to pick-up before that game.

What it really comes down to is the UofA is not willing to go out of their way to get this game on SECN+ because it would hurt their ticket sales in North Little Rock.  The game is not even sold out yet.  If we want that NLR game to be televised/streamed in the future, we're either going to have to be a ranked team with a lot of hype and recognizable names and sell out NLR (Like we were in 14-15 when SEC Network picked up the game) or play another P5 team and hope ESPN or CBS will pick it up.  Because UofA has showed they aren't going to pay any expenses to show it to us.   Which is unfortunate, because we have a stellar basketball team this year with a young freshman phenom that a lot of our fans are just now starting to hear about and want to see him play.  I was looking at other SEC teams, and I believe we're the only one that has a game like this where there's no video at all for it.

Ummm....Taking the Razorbacks down to North little rock so other fans in the state can watch them play live is a pretty big expense.

If you want to watch the team then buy a ticket and go watch:

We absolutely should play bball games in LR. But the university has to find a way to get this on Facebook at the very least. Let some college kids broadcast it if necessary

NWAHog479

U of A should spend the money and broadcast this on local networks around the state. WTH.

SEC TV contracts probably won't let them do that.

What are you talking about.  Did you not read anything I said?  People were asking why the NLR game isn't on TV and I shared why it was not.  The SEC Network deal only requires to broadcast the on campus games, the UofA would have to pay out of pocket for a broadcast crew/equipment to stream it via SECN+.  That was told to me by Matt Jones of the Democrat Gazette last year, when I asked him about it.  So, yes it is about them not wanting to spend extra money to broadcast it.  You're welcome to go fact check that with someone you feel is credible that would know.

They are not allowed to put it on the local networks anymore with the SEC Network deal.  The only option would be for them to spend the money for a crew to put it SECN+ they opted not to.   If we would have sold this game out weeks ago, there would probably be a good chance of them doing that.  But, no sellout, no big name opponent, they aren't going to spend that for 1 game.

micali

If KY was there it would be televised.

There are literally no TV options. Either buy a ticket or listen to the radio.

Stupid falsehood.   Verizon Arena is every bit as modern as any arena around, they have had NCAA regionals there so of course it has the capability.  Hog games in the past have been shown there as well.
