Where so you rank this team defensively?
Would you call them an elite defensive team in college basketball?

According to Ken Pomeroy, Arkansas is 49th among 351 D-1 teams in adjusted defensive efficiency ("AdjD" in the link below).  That's not elite, but it's pretty good.  Plus, it's easy to forget that the Hogs have only 3 guys who've played D-1 ball more than a year and a half, so their defense could very well improve as the guys gain a little more experience together and they continue adjusting to how officials call the games.

Adjusted defensive efficiency is an estimate of the defensive efficiency (points allowed per 100 possessions) a team would have against the average D-1 offense.  By comparison, the Hogs were 76th in KenPom's AdjD last year and 67th back in 2014-15, when the Portis/Qualls/Madden team advanced to the NCAA 2nd round.

A few Jump Ball posters pay more attention to hoops metrics than I do, so I'd be interested to see their takes.
