Jumps jockey comes out of the saddle, cradles his mount around the neck, manages to climb back aboard and into the stirrups, goes on to win the race.

Good thing that wasn't here he would have been DQ'd for not maintaining a straight course.  Our track by track bought and paid for stewards is sickening.

HawgWild

That was pretty amazing and he really did impede that other horse.

they rarely dq from jumps racing. horses duck out all the time going into those jumps and slam each other around. just part of it in jumps racing.

The Far Hills meet in New Jersey usually draws 30-40,000 on a Saturday in October.  Basically a tailgate party out in a field with 7 or 8 jumps races.  Feature is the Grand National.  Great fun.  Next day's accounts in the local media usually focus on the arrests for drunkenness and, oh yeah, [NAME OF HORSE] won the Grand National.

Seems a lot like a football game tailgate.  Good stuff right there.  BTW How many people at Oaklawn on Derby day are completely hammered by the 5th race?  I would say a lot.
