Quote from: Kris P. Bacon on Today at 02:10:30 pmMatt Jones was kinda fun to watch too.

But Monk did keep us from getting embarrassed by Blake Griffin though.
Big Joe Dean Davenport! I don't think he scored much but it was fun to see the big guy get a little playing time.

Quote from: SMB Hogfan on Today at 12:59:42 pmI guess things have changed or whatever. I think it was 1978 or thereabouts, I got pulled over about halfway between Forrest City and Brinkley for doing 105 mph in a 55 zone (Interstate limit at the time). Since it was in excess of 20 mph over, it was in fact; reckless driving. I just paid the trooper on the side of the highway. Something like $125, which was approaching the fine for DWI at the time.

It wasn't any big issue for me. It didn't look like it was for the trooper, either. Could be he pocketed the money. Don't know. But, there wasn't any deal about appearing in court. I suppose I could have, if I wanted to plead not guilty. But, I was caught fair and square. It would probably cost that much to drive from Little Rock back over to whatever county that was just to be found guilty. So, I just paid and called it good.

Like I said, things must be different. One thing of note, it just showed up as speeding and not reckless driving until it rolled off.

It probably has cost KJ way more than just paying the fine, already. Unless, of course; he wasn't given a choice.

He could have got fired for that. Police Officers don't collect fines on the side of the road. He pocketed the money for sure, then just didn't report the stop. Good way to make some extra cash, but as I said, trouble if the officer gets caught.

Quote from: Hawg Red on Today at 02:31:06 pmIf the kids waiting to get cleared by the NCAA who asked out of NLIs can't talk to Cal, why can they go on campus visits like Jayden Q is to Louisville right now?
He has already received his release

Quote from: Oklahawg on Today at 12:56:33 pmMore idle, false, conjecture on your part. Confirmed from a separate contact since I posted, in fact. I am not talking about an athletic department guy, I'm talking about money guys who do for OSU what our big-money guys do for UA - they dangle big coin to get guys they think would be beneficial for OSU, and their financial support would be critical in landing. Not to be lost in that equation - a coach they think is "hireable." They aren't chasing Ryan Day or Dabo Sweeney.

Y'all love to beg for sources, then when someone provides one that doesn't fit your uh-gend-uh you go bonkers.
You are wasting time Oklahawg . They don't want truth, they heard something and run with it. That is why Kent Smith's articles get readers

Quote from: Bacons Rebellion on Yesterday at 11:55:09 amIt would be fun to see 1968 North Texas State and Joe Greene. That was the closest game of the year.

It was also the first Razorback game I saw from seats not in the end zone.

Closest game that we WON. Texas beat us 39-29 down in Austin, but to be honest, the game wasn't that close.  This was just a couple of weeks after they'd moved James Street to QB and unleashed the new wishbone on college football. We had no clue how to defend it and they ran up and down the field on us.  And that was a damn good Arkansas team - only game we lost that year.
