Ok lets talks facts and records, how about compare the last 7 seasons of each coach

Eddie Sutton last 7 seasons at Arkansas:
166-51, 7 tournaments, 2 sweet 16s, an elite eight

Nolan Richardson last 7 seasons at Arkansas:
137-87, 5 tournaments, a sweet 16

Mike Anderson last 7 seasons at Arkansas:
149-83, 3 tournaments

I find it pretty funny that you tried to use selective years to prove your point. Nolan in his worst stretch was just as good as Mike currently is for post season success.

ok so to be accurate wouldn't we compare the 1st 7 seasons for each coach?

Thanks this proves my point even hall of fame coaches start out slow and should be trending up, I forgot even from one Hall of Fame to another there was a noticeable dip, and even you will have to admit taking over from a HOF is a lot easier then taking over for our last 2 coaches.

Mike seems hell bent on not playing zone.  Especially in the instances where we SHOULD be playing it.

I'm not a hater, just a realist.  Mike is a good step above Heath and Pelphrey, though not quite in the league of Sutton or Nolan.  Arkansas is a program that can and should expect a coach that can bring consistent success like Sutton and Nolan did.

Heath is a prime example that recruiting stars don't mean squat.  Go look at some of his class rankings.  I got bored and did this the other night. His 1st class with Brewer and Olu was 12 Nationally.  His 2nd class was 4.  Now Jefferson never go to campus, but Thomas and Townes did well here. '05 was god awful only signed 2 players. '06 was 19th with Weems and Beverly leading the way.

My point is Heath could acquire talent but couldn't coach it up.  Mike hasn't assembled nearly the same amount of talent in 7 years, & he's an average coach.  Would he have done better with Heath's guys than Heath did?
