Somewhere in the neighborhood of 10/300+.  Miggy currently holds the record with a 10/292 that he signed like last year.

Although I'm not a huge fans of long term deals like this, I would be much more willing to throw this type of money at Stanton who should just be entering the prime of his career and the contract will expire at 34 which is a reasonable age.  I thought that this was the type of contract the Angels should have offered Trout (well, closer to 12/400), but players in their mid 20s are much more likely to live up to a huge contract like this.

Stanton was one of the top players in the NL last year in terms of WAR at like 6.5 which would make him worth at least 30 million a year on the FA market.

Dang, no more Stanton for Bourjos trade proposals in the Cardinals thread!  :)
Lenin is cautiously optimistic.

Yeah, with that contract we will have to clear some cap room in a trade for him. We might have to give them Bourjos AND Kozma!

If that doesn't sway the Marlins, sweeten the pot with Descalso. Make it happen Mo!!!
