Thank you!  My cuz flew in desert storm and now he is CIA but he won't admitted it.

I had a great time in 2013. Sat with Arkansas section (mostly). The pregame tailgating food, etc was awesome.

Dress in neutral garb so to not stick out as an opposing fan.  Do your best to keep your angst or enthusiasm down as best as you can.

Finally.  Reconsider going.  Horrible fans.  Horrible treatment.  You'll, in all likelihood, regret spending the Benjamins on this trip unless you're loaded enough to not miss them.

Oh, and don't forget about their players making fun of our recently departed football player from BPs era.

I'd call that low class, but that would be too insulting to those who simply have low class.
This. My experience there was beyond awful. Piss on those people!

The main problems occur after the game...and supposedly its even worse if we win. My best advice is keep your head down and walk briskly out of there and just try and ignore the BS as best possible. If you have a short temper at all I would advice against going.

Like most fan bases, the few give the many a bad name.  I've many friends here and will be at the game but not in the hogs section (hey free tickets - what's a guy to do?).  I've tailgated at several LSU home games with my razorback gear on and never an issue.

LSU friends who attended the game in Fayetteville last year with me were heckled more during that 1 visit than i've been in total at tigger stadium.

I guess if you have a loud mouth and short temper things could get interesting but if you act as civilized folks do you'll be fine.

I've heard so many stories of people getting spit on and beer poured on them and I've been told by so many people who have been that they will NEVER go back.

Going.

Any advice from those who've made the trip?

I'm driving in from New Orleans.

Parking?
Food?
Tailgate?

Thanks.

(Hogs 24 LSU 17)

I heard all the same things about the corndogs but when I went there the year before last, I was amazed at how friendly most were.  We parked on the other side of the baseball field

It's one of my favorite road trips. I've been 3 of the last 4 trips (better half is an LSU grad).

There are more drunk a holes there than most places, but also way more welcoming tailgaters than most places. Wear red, cheer on the hogs, don't have thin skin, and don't be a dick and you'll have a great time.

if your not taking kids wit you,  I recommend reefer.
Tailgate with LSU fans,  find the hip ones and either give them or smoke with them said reefer.  Don't leave their side until you walk towards your seats.
Getting out after a Hog win though?!?!?   Don't wear anything heavy and wear running  shoes.
All of this is horrible advice...  have fun.

When fans of the other team I always talk to them and show Razorback hospitality.
I've been to Starkville, Oxford, both Alabama stadiums and got same hospitality from all.
Death Vally is rudest, foul language, unwelcome place on earth. I know some very good people who are LSU fans and they say there ashamed of how about 1/4 LSU fans act.

Let me just say.
If you've never been to Death Valley for a night game - you are in for a treat.
Every college football fan should experience it before they die.
There is truly nothing like it.
I really hated to hear our game time - that is one tough place to win at night.

Keep hearing that you shouldn't provoke them, and just be calm and you will be okay. Pitiful.

I know most Cajuns are nice once you get to know them, blah blah blah, but screw them. Fandom is no excuse to intimidate and act like thugs. They are the bottom of the barrel in sports. Raider fans look good compared to these tools.

Based on my 2009 experience I would advise DON'T GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason I didn't punch a 20 something punk square in the nose was the fact my teenage son and his buddy were with me and I didn't want to spend the night in the East Baton Rouge Parish jail.

Been there many times. Now we usually stay in Hammond, which is between BR and NO. Think its about 40-50 minutes from BR. Always eat atleast once at Don's seafood in Hammond. I used to work off shore and we used to go there upon flying in from offshore when I was a young kid.

In those days I went as a Tiger fan. They were in the SEC and us the SWC so since my buddies were LSU fans I supported them. Was lots of fun. Actually I got all those crazy coon-asses to going to the games. We lived in Lafayette and I could see no logical reason not to drive 30-40 minits to see a college football game. Those goofballs had lived close all their lives and never gone. Go figure.

Those guys are still great friends of mine today. I have been to a couple of our wins down there. Crazy stuff went down the night D Mac went off on them and they we're #1 in the country. Their own policed the situations well though and administered butt whuppins to those deserving.

As mentioned earlier, give them space. Don't get mad when your called Tiger bait. Just yell Go Hogs n move on.

I am sure 90% of the LSU fans are good sports -- or should I say 80%? -- but those who aren't really do make it a challenging experience for the Hogs fans.

I have only gone once but that was enough to say they are the worst fans in the SEC.

I've been to @LSU Battles for the boot 4 times.  Once with the band and 3 times when I lived down there.  If an LSU fan is picking a fight with you, most other LSU fans will get your back, as long as you aren't showing your rearend around.  Cheer when your team does well and be civil and you should be fine.

In Baton Rouge, I recommend the following establishments for eating
Chimes (or Chimes East away from campus) - ***Make sure you get some Boudin Balls!
ACME Oyster House (overpriced but good)
Juban's is a really nice restaurant
Parain's is also good for seafood
Walk-ons has pretty decent food and a good atmosphere
Mason's Brunch on Sunday, or just get their burger that's covered in Cheese and Shrimp YOU Can't Go Wrong

Go Downtown and check out the view from Tsunami's deck
Get some drinks at Happy's and Boudreaux and Thibodeaux's.  Drink Andygator, but remember it's twice as strong as most beer.

I've been once, for a day game. Will never go back. Trash thrown down on us from the section above....fans pounding on our car when we pulled into a parking lot......fans cussing at my mother. THE absolute worst fans in the SEC.

Can't even imagine what it would be like for a night game, when they have all day to get boozed up.

Wear Razorback WHITE (so as not to stand out).  Grew up in Shreveport and refused to go to grade 13 in Baton Rouge.

Never say never.  I will NEVER go to another HOG game in Tiger Stadium.  Google "worst fans in college football" and guess who is #1.  Their fans from 6 to 86 use fowl language and treat fans from the opposing team with 0 respect.

GO HOGS !!!

Drive a rental car if you are wearing Hog gear. Be sure to get extra insurance that covers the   " LSU " that may get keyed on both sides of the vehicle.

While I was typing above, the news on tv just quoted some Lsu player telling everybody to show up Saturday to watch the "pay back game".

I was at the 2007 three overtime game. It was the greatest game I have ever been to. Get ready to hear tiger bait yelled at you as you walk to the stadium. I was in the Arkansas section but had a pretty vocal LSU fan in front of me turning around talking trash the whole game. When Material Richardson intercepted Flynn's pass to end the game I had some words saved up for him. It was a game I'll never forget.

Ebbet's Field is alright. Big Whiskey's can be okay. You're really making me work for this one, because those are the only two I can think of at the moment.

Harbell's is a pretty cool place. Game atmosphere, I'm unsure of. Watched a Mizzou basketball game there once, and it was pretty lively.

Surly there is a Alumni Club there that meets. Try this email Springfield@arkansasalumni.org

I don't think there technically is one. There have been rumors of one for years. I'm not 100% sure on this, however. I'm at all the games in Fayetteville and Little Rock and 1-2 roadies a year. The games I don't go to, I watch in the comfort of my own home with family and friends. I have been wondering why I have yet to find a "club."

Man I'm originally from Magnolia, so I kinda know Camden. I'm not sure if there is a official watch party there. I dont really think there are any sports bars there. I'm sure the White House, Postmasters, or the Sandbar will have the game on. They are all restaurants that have bars but as far as a sports bar im not sure if there is one there.

Best place to watch the game in Camden is at the White House Café on Adams street. That's where I used to go all the time. There is also down stairs at the Postmaster Grill.
