The nine players chosen from SEC members in the first round of last year's NFL Draft brought to 500 the selections that have been made from the conference within the first 32 picks.

That's from among the 2,816 players who have been drafted in those positions.

Which SEC player has had the best career from each of the first 32 draft slots

Eighteen members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame are former SEC players who were drafted among the first 32 picks. Four slots – No. 1, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 11 – have produced two Hall of Famers apiece. In contrast, a few of the other slots have hardly produced a Pro Bowler...

First pick: Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning by the Indianapolis Colts in 1998

Second pick: Alabama linebacker Cornelius Bennett by the Buffalo Bills in 1987

Third pick: LSU safety Johnny Robinson by the Detroit Lions in 1960

Fourth pick: Alabama guard John Hannah by the New England Patriots in 1973

Fifth pick: LSU halfback Steve Van Buren by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1944

Sixth pick: LSU quarterback Y.A. Tittle by the Detroit Lions in 1948
