I agree.  Today is on Long because he has allowed us to be in this position.  Fire long and send a message.

It sucks and Arkansas deserves better, but it's not all really apples to apples. If Arkansas was in the East they'd probably be higher.

Auburn's record is crazy. I can't believe that.

Hogs run wild

you guys want to protest, don't show up at games.
We all got a chicken duck woman thing waiting for us.

Auburns record surprised me too.  It seems like they've been solid.  Either way the West isn't that tough this year and we're 0-1 having played one of the worst teams in the division.

Why did you pick 2012?

Long has been here since 2008.

I don't think he's good but why weaken the argument by distorting the man's record? Let it speak for itself and then he can be shown the door.

Sho Nuff

I guess this is what Long thinks we deserve...

Dr. Starcs

Can someone post the sec record since 08?

I agree would be a better depiction.

Yeah, he's probably sitting at home eating a four course meal, laughing with his stuffed mouth while he wears tie-dye t-shirt that says "THE NORTH WON".

Or more likely, he doesn't appreciate losing -- like any human being.

Judging by his lack of desire to change anything, I'm assuming he likes it.  If you own a restaurant that has flies in it, it's because you like flies.  If you're not willing to make the tough decisions that lead to change, you must like your current situation.

And if you look at sec record only. Since Bret Bielema came to Arkansas in 2013, Hogs are 10-23 in SEC games. Only Vandy (9-23) & Kentucky (9-24) have been worse. just sad that it's gotten this bad.SICKENING!

29-44 since 08 I think.

I mean -- we have a .471 win percentage in the SEC all time. It's not like we've ever been a strong SEC football program. Aside from a few good seasons here or there. And go back and look at those seasons. They're all because a few All-American players came up through Arkansas and played for the Razorbacks in those seasons.

Beaverfever

Also, we haven't made it to the second weekend of the NCAA tournament under his watch.

That's what happens when 3/4 of your coaches aren't good and they're there for a really long time. We gave nutt and Bielema too much time.

the above statement is based on all things being equal...99% of Razorback fans don't make a million per year like Long...with lofty pay comes lofty expectations...Long is not delivering the goods and I'm not talking about facilities, I'm talking wins. Long, first of all needs to be the guy to fire Bret Bielema becaue it was his hire, then Long needs to be fired himself by whomever has that authority at the UA.

Let's wait a few games. Kentucky and Vandy are both looking repectable (not day for Vandy against Bama, but...)

This is why the Arkansas Job is not an appealing job outside of Arkansas. Being in the SEC West has made the Arkansas job a Coache's  graveyard. Our all time conference record speaks for itself.

I don't know. When the same thing keeps happening no matter who the coach is... maybe it's time to start looking at ourselves.

I don't believe he likes losing, I just don't think it really bothers him that much.  The money is rolling in, he's selling the suites in DWR, the APR is better, the football players are not running amok in the community.  If we win?  Cool!  If not?  Meh.
I know this is going to sound crazy, but it seems like the academic side of the house is running the football program now.  Results on the field just don't matter.

Fire Jeff Long now.

Fan701

It hasn't been all bad under Long, but definitely could be better. 2010 and 2011 we were one of the SEC's best in football, so excellence is possible here with the right coach.  Also, the basketball team hasn't been fantastic under Anderson, but it has been solid and one of the best in the SEC, only Kentucky has won more SEC basketball games than we have over the last three years.  In addition, the basketball team seems to be in a solid uptrend with a very good team for this year and very promising recruits coming in.  I myself can't wait for basketball season.

Boarslab

Long needs to go before BeEnema.  Long has put the Arkansas football program in this position and he should be the one to be held accountable. The buck stops with him--he's the boss that negotiated the worse contract in Razorback history.

Eight losing records and only six winning. THAT shows exactly how tough the SEC is. More importantly it shows just how good of a college coach Saban is.
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.
