Everyone is looking the wrong direction for an acceptable solution to the hogs performance.  Since it apparently isn't getting better the priorities need to change.  Recruit only players who score a 2,000 or above SAT.  Problem solved.  Hogs can go 3-8 and have an acceptable excuse because we'll be proud of their academic prowess and no-one will care about the W-L column. This team that lost to TCU today is only winning three games this year.  This, of course, will be followed by a very productive 2018 off-season during which everybody learns the lesson and rededicates themselves to the cause.

Vandy actually looks pretty good. Mason has them moving in the right direction.
"It's a trap!"--Houston Nutt and Admiral Ackbar, although Ackbar never called that play or ate that frito pie.

Clay Travis: Vanderbilt is better than 5 SEC West teams

QuoteTravis places Vanderbilt fifth in his most recent SEC power rankings. His top four teams are Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia and LSU.

So if you're keeping score, that means Travis thinks Vanderbilt could hold its own against most of the vaunted SEC West. The teams from the division he places behind the Commodores? Only Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

There's no denying that Vanderbilt is off to a strong start. The Commodores are 2-0 after victories over Middle Tennessee and Alabama A&M. Vanderbilt outscored both opponents by a combined score of 70-6.

Yeah, yeah. Those are cupcake foes. We'll learn much more about Vanderbilt soon, starting with a home game against No. 18 Kansas State on Saturday in Nashville.

Goodness ... "Vandy Love" :)  I appreciate it.  Seriously, we are okay -- a nice group of guys, an under appreciated running back and a defensive backfield that should get some picks.
If we can play well, we could give Kansas State a good game - and a fun game to watch - in Nashville Saturday night.

thank again.
What a wonderful time to rediscover the hobby for a lifetime - a great book!!!
