SEC office released a statement Monday afternoon saying the office is in communication with both Florida and Tennessee athletic departments about where the game between the two teams will be played on Saturday

Quote"Now that the storm has passed through Gainesville, the University of Florida is working with local authorities to assess the effect of the storm on the campus and the Gainesville community, at the same time ensuring the appropriate security and local officials are available to host a game," SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in a statement.

As of now, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is scheduled to host the contest between the No. 24 Gators (0-1) and No. 23 Volunteers (2-0) at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday. CBS is slated to televise the game. Reports have surfaced that the game could be played as a neutral-site contest in Atlanta if it is unfit to play in Gainesville.

Florida announced Monday that its athletic facilities remain intact with no major damage but added that the Mark Bostick Golf Course and Donald R. Dizney Stadium — which is the main field for lacrosse and also holds occasional soccer matches and practice — were "under some water."

Florida football returns to practice on Tuesday after an off day Monday.
