I think the OU players and maybe the coaches have the idea that if they are not playing for the National Championship then it's not that serious.  They earned a BCS Bowl, let's have some fun.  The program is already tops.

Arkansas on the other hand, even though trying to build a program so that winning for any ranking is seriously needed, has the same problem at any and every bowl.

Play someone worth a shi* outside of the big 12 for a change... Most over rated football team there is. If Sooners played some SEC teams they would not make it to BCS games. Stoops was out coached last night by a 2nd string coach. He looked like Nutty calling plays last night.

You do realize that the offensive coordinator calls the plays correct?  Why would Stoops be blamed for the offensive coordinators dumb cals?

I know for sure Nutt messed with the playcalling, but not all coaches in the country are like that.

It's funny to listen to you all take shots at the Sooners.  However is should be noted that there will be some changes made in the off-season.  Perhaps some personnel changes and so on.  Sure is much better than making changes because you can't even make a BCS bowl.

As a long-time Sooner and Razorback fan; both losses were painful.  OU has not been the same since Mike Stoops left.  He was able to make in game defensive changes in the big games.  Brent Venables is their issue.  He puts a game plan together but can't make changes in-game.  I would expect to see at least a new "co" coordinator for the defense.

I'm not a Bob Stoops fan, however he is a great coach and I'll give him credit, when he is outplayed or outcoached, he'll come out and say it right after the game and congratulate the other team...a far cry from what we are use to...Nutty (The Excuse O'Matic).

A little off track, but the most fun I ever had was when some OU friends of my wife and I talked us into going with them to the 78 Orange bowl.

As always they bragged about how they were the best team in the country all the way down there. Cried the whole game and never opened their mouth all the way home. God that was fun.

It sounds like you need to command more respect from those around you...or grow some thicker skin.

I was at the CB and gave it back to them every time they mouthed off...I didn't allow them to berate me.

After the game, they seemed glad to just get out of there with a win.  I don't recall a dominant performance from either team...but what do I know?  It was waaaaaay too early for a bowl game kickoff and I was fighting a hangover while trying not to freeze to death.

It all sounds like sour grapes to me, and I think we (as a fan base) should be above that.

I'm 50/50 on going to 4 straight BCS games and losing, that would be tuff...however at least one of them was for the NC.

Two of them were for a NC. 2 of the 4 losses were against the future National Champion.

Alot of OU's stars have come from Oklahoma. But yes they do recruit nationally. Why? Because they can. As far as Oklahoma kids that started for OU this year.......Sam Bradford, Germaine Gresham, DJ Wolfe, Austin Box, Curtis Lofton, Dane Zaslaw, Gerald McCoy....just off the top of my head.
