What I like most about the hire is in a couple of years when he is kicking butt,taking names,none of the yahooos up there can take credit for the hire. I also think there are a lot of positives with JP. I for one wanted change,got it and am getting on the positive side with this hire.

the 90 grand wasn't to get a great coach.  the 90k was so FB wouldn't get involved and screw it up.  Mission accomplished.

Crawford has coached almost all of the most talented players from Arkansas.. He's been an AAU coach forever.
When the point was made that Sutton needed an Arkansan, Pat Foster, to recruit  Brewer, Delf and Moncreif and
that Pelphrey probably needs to hire someone as an assistant w/ Arkansas ties to do the same.. he's the person that comes to mind.

I did, originally, like the Idea of getting a Sutton or Sadler and make it look like there was some great legacy-like continuity up on the Hill..

But none of the previous coaches had anything to do w/ each other, or the hogs... It'll work out..

Too bad Broyles never taught any coach how to grow assistants.
