1.  Arkansas contacts Gillespie (informally, of course) and gets the nod
2.  Tubby bolts from KY
3.  Arkansas doesn't check with Gillespie again before canning Stan
4.  Someone at KY makes inquiry of Gillespie (this may be #3 and #3 may be #4, come to think of it) and says he's second choice after Donovan.  Gillespie says he can live with that, becoming Plan B.
5.  Arkansas finds out Gillespie isn't coming here.
6.  Florida wins championship and then Donovan is contacted
7.  Donovan says "no" and the same day, Plan B is executed.

Did I miss anything that MAY have happened?

Well to my knowledge Gillespie hasn't made it to the Elite 8, and Bobby Knight hasn't been in so long I'm not sure he knows what that is anymore.

The funniest thing from txags was their campaign to get 10k people to show up for a support-the-coach rally. They rarely had 10k show up for a game! And they thought 10k would show up to "yell" at a coach for no apparent reason?

The most optimistic news report estimated "almost 200" people showed up for the save the Gilespie campaign.

BG played all this perfect.  It almost seems that he knew the sequence of things before they happened.  He used the Arkansas offer to drive up his price at A&M, but he already knew that it would lead to him getting a higher offer from Kentucky, because why in the world would Donovan leave the Gators.  KY has nothing to offer Donovan he can't get in Florida.  It's genius.  Houston might want to contact his agent.

Says that A&M bumped him up to $1.75 million, and one would assume Kentucky will pay him more than that.
