SEC previews with Auburn:

After playing for the national title in 2013, Auburn took a dip last year, finishing 8-5 overall and 4-4 in the league. After a 5-0 start, the Tigers lost four of their last five games, concluding with a loss to Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl. Defense was the biggest problem. Auburn gave up 38 points to Mississippi State, 35 to South Carolina, 41 to Texas A&M and 55 to Alabama.

Offense outlook: The return of wide receiver Duke Williams, a first-team pre-season All-SEC choice, should help out new starting quarterback Jeremy Johnson, was a second-team all-conference pre-season pick by the media. Auburn has a strong offensive line led by Alex Kozan and Avery Young. Malzahn must find a running back to replace the productive Artis-Payne, who led the SEC in rushing.

The schedule is favorable with Georgia and Alabama coming to Auburn. And the Tigers get LSU early in Baton Rouge when Les Miles' quarterback situation may not be solidified. A tougher-than-expected game could be Oct. 24 at Arkansas.
