EDITS:
2.5.14: Added JoJo Robinson, dropped Darrel Kelly-Thomas (no longer with team).
3.21.14: Removed Demetrius Dean, moved Korliss Marshall, Alex Brignoni and Taiwan Johnson to new positions.
4.12.14: Moved DuWop to WR. FYI: Derby is now running at TE.
4.13.14: Fisher, Jr, no longer with team. Graduating and moving on. Leaving TQ Coleman at safety despite word he is going to spend time at Will LB.
5.31.14: Tardy on the updates. Jefferson added, Pruitt removed, at OL. Williams added at LB. Murphy removed as DB.
6.25.14: Added Tyler Colquitt at FB. Gives us 86 by my count. Must have a walk-on counted as a scholarship player, or someone has left the program and I've missed it.
6.26.14: OK, removed Kelly-Thomas and Arkadie, per Uncommon, and added Chris Jones at FB, per Secneahog. Had already not counted one of the DL, and had performed generally poor math. If Murphy returns he is #85. If he indeed is gone look for AJ Derby to get that scholarship - a one year deal that opens it back up for the 2015 recruiting class.
7.4.2014: Cowan removed following word from CBB that he was dismissed for academic reasons.
7.17.2014: Cordale Boyd moved to DT and Mitchell Loewen to DE.
8.10.2014: Ollison moved (DT), Brignoni removed (medical scholie) and Henson (K) and Derby (TE) added.
8.11.2014: Removed Peters (transfer) and Jones (walk-on FB, not on scholarship).
8.13.2014: added Adam Deacon (OL).
8.21.2014: thanks to Uncommon, moving Kody Walker (RB to FB) and TQ Coleman (S to LB).

All scholies are year to year. Scholarships given to walk-ons can be pulled (awarded on a semester-to-semester basis). If you "pull" a scholarship of a recruited player I don't know that they could (should, would) stay on the team.

A little stingy on who you bold, no? If I remember, bolded means returning starter. Did Ellis start more games than Otha or Mitchell? Ollison started on the OL several games. Gaines and Irwin-Hill would also deserve bolds, no?

He will need to be here for 2 years before they give him one or he would count back to his original signing class.

LSPRazorbac

I'm betting Walker will play more at fullback to give us that run option like Kiero did last season.  Wouldn't surprise me if he started at fullback this year.

And Marshall is staying at RB, he looked too good with the ball in his hand as a Freshman to move back to defense.

Do you guys expect better from Peters (if healthy) and Ellis at LB positions as a whole?

I think Ellis is gonna be a really good LB and probably start as the Mike or Sam for the next 3 years.

With Peters, if he can stay healthy this spring I expect major improvement from him.

Otha didn't play, basically, but Ellis starts the last half of the season. Check.

Ollison is replaced after 3 games and doesn't play in most games thereafter. Check.

Gaines was the third safety, behind Bennett and Turner. Check.

Irwin-Hill and D'Appollonio are both returning starters, thanks.

Officially, Ollison started the first 5 games. He didn't play much after that.

Gaines officially started 5 times last season.

I thought Otha played significant snaps later in the season, but I did miss quite a few games being on the west coast this year, so I guess not.

It wouldn't surprise me for him to be at safety this spring but also wouldn't surprise me to see him at RB.

FWIW, Bielema said he would play safety in the spring and still have a 5-7 play package at RB. I realize everything is up for interpretation.

So, Okla if our current list plus our current roster has us at 85 who leaves to make room for the 3 spots left on the board?

We have
16 O'Linemen 17 if Mike comes
9 Corners 10 if Simmons comes
9 Safeties

I would think those would be the positions to watch if cuts are made. I would also look at Juco's that haven't panned out. Am I way out in left field?

We need another impact DT in this (2014) class in a bad way IMO.

Good question. My guess is the OL is the first target. DBs are valuable special teams players. Not sure how many true frosh we want to see on ST this fall.

I think Jones ultimately starts at FB, and they try and find him a creative way to get him a scholarship.

Full-house formation with Jones, Arinze, and Walker... gawd... have fun stopping that on the goal line.

There really wasn't too much room for him to play behind Small. Unless you are giving Small a rest or are going with a heavy set, which when that was the case, Arinze was usually the guy called upon. Can't expect much more than that.

He was probably a step ahead of our younger backs mentally in Spring ball.  Once coaches got Collins up to speed on the playbook and other aspects, his talent was far ahead of Arinze.  Good to have a mature backup like Arinze, though.
