Bartolo Colon is the answer to part 1, I believe.
We have a winner.  I'll post a clue in the morning about the prospects if no one has guessed correctly by then.

NEA_HogFan

I'm wanting to say Cliff Lee was part of the Bartolo Colon deal?

One down, two to go.

Clue - The other two players played for the MLB teams in Ohio.

Another Expos question and a 2 parter:

-  First, who is the only active pitcher to have thrown for the Expos?

-  Second, which three players did the Expos trade to get him?  (Each player worth one point)

Four players?  Cliff Lee, Grady Sizemore, Brandon Phillips, Lee Stevens?

I googled.

Well, you got the other two I was looking for.  Sizemore and Phillips.  Two points to you.

Sticking with the EXPOS:

Which Montreal Expos player hit two homeruns in the same inning on separate occasions?

NEA_HogFan

I know Fernando tatis hit two grand slams in one inning. I think that was with the cardinals though.

Wisco Pig

Gotta be the Hawk.   Andre Dawson.

CORRECT!

(And correction: Wisco gets credited for Bartolo Colon.  It's timestamped.)  Sorry for the mistake

Wisco Pig

Do I get bonus points for anticipating your followup question?

What about Sizemore and Austin Kearns?  Pretty sure about Sizemore but a complete guess about Kearns

HA!  I gotta call it a night, but the OP is updated, and I will check in tomorrow

Last Q for me (feel free to post your own):  Who is the only MLB pitcher to win a World Series game in three different decades?

NEA_HogFan

Total guess here. Bob Gibson or Nolan Ryan? Those guys pitched for like 40 years combined lol.

What was the original name of the New York Yankee franchise.

I'm looking for the new York original nickname, not the original city in which they were based.

Bonus: what city were they based before moving to new York?

Bonus : what year did they move to new York.

Try not to google.

This thread is tough on a young guy lol.

Highlanders.

Only reason I know this is because I used to have a computer sim-based baseball game on my computer.  You could start in the year 1903 with any franchise that was around at that time with their roster from that season and everything.  Played the game way more hours than I'd like to admit, but I learned a lot about the old, old timey players and what team nicknames used to be and when and what they changed them to and everything.

With the draft just ending, how many #1 overall picks did not sign when they were drafted?  Bonus, who was the only player to be drafted first overall twice?

? Not for certain, but Aiken kid from last year didn't sign and he was first one in 30 years or so. At least 2 right there, with someone being drafted 1st twice (means they didn't sign once) gonna take a stab at THREE.

CJ HOG

In keeping with the #1 overall theme...How many #1 overall picks have made the Baseball Hall of Fame?

I heard this a little while back and it's one of those sports trivia tidbits that stick with you for a while because it's pretty surprising.

Why do I feel like this is Wichita State? I think they talked about it when we played them in 2013.

Edit - I have no idea what the guy's name was. Remember them talking about being the brother of the coach, though.
