Boykin sucked at Penn St yet flourished at Texas Criminal U, so KH may be hoping for the same turn around. I mean really, if the refs didn't step in this past season, they would've lost to Arkansas.

Boykin has only played for TCU.

Heard he was going to Juco for a year to get a few more arrests - then he will be ready to transfer to Auburn or FSU.

No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Is it safe to say the power teams from the West have weakened?  I think we may contend this next season.  Seriously.

I think we may mirror some of MSU's success next year. Tough defense and a dependable offense.

My exact thoughts.

Hill may be one of the best examples of overhype in a long time.  He lit up a South Carolina team that was even more overrated than he was, then stunk for the rest of the season before being replaced.

Remember, he was being lauded as the Heisman frontrunner after week one.

I don't think his departure weakens A&M.  I also think Bama will be better at QB by mid-season regardless of who they plug in to replace Sims.  LSU couldn't get any worse at QB than they were this past season.  MSU and Ole Miss will take a step back offensively, although if Ole Miss can find someone who won't turn the ball over as repeatedly as Wallace did late in the season it might offset his lack of experience.

But, but, but.....Hogville say we cannot compete in the West...BB cannot out-Saban Saban, or out-Miles Miles.....

I think he'll be great for TCU.  Meachem really worked wonders with Boykin and I imagine they will be able to maintain the high powered offense with Trill at the helm.

hawginbigd1

Don't follow aTm football, but I watch the games and there must be an issue with this kid. On the field Kenny Hill is far > than Kyle Allen. hill either got benched after having a rough stretch against the toughest part of aTm's schedule, which doesn't make sense to me. Other than Bama the offense did their part to win the Ole Miss and Miiss. St. games. Or he had issues with Sumlin that led to the suspension and transfer. I think this guy would be a perfect fit for LSU as far as performance on the field, but he will do well at TCU also. I don't believe the kid is overhyped, he may not have been Heisman level, but everything I saw was pretty solid for a young first year starter.

Georgeofthejungle

So that means we will have an opportunity to face Kenny again in 2016, only this time at TCU...I'm in!

Hogarusa

Don't like that the Hogs will have to face him twice while at TCU.  That's going to be an explosive offense for years to come (assuming he wins the job, I don't know who is next in line at TCU). It's a good opportunity for all to pile on him for being overhyped but he did pass for 385 yards and 4 TDs on our top 10 D.

Other than Bama the offense did their part to win the Ole Miss and Miiss. St. games.

They were being ANNIHILATED by both Mississippi State (48-17 before A&M scored two gargage time TDs with less than three minutes to go in the game...Hill threw three interceptions to the same linebacker in this one) and Ole Miss (35-7 before A&M once again scored two more garbage time 4th quarter TDs...Hill threw a pick six and had a fumble that was returned for a TD, along with a second interception during the game).

So no, the A&M offense in general and Kenny Hill in particular did not do enough to win those games despite the deceiving final scores.

At Texas "Christian" University no doubt.

Yeah.....was only a few years back, that half the football team was involved in some kind of big drug bust.  Undercover law enforcement was used to expose, etc.  In the end, don't remember anything severely hurting their football program.  Sure doesn't seem to have hurt them.  Maybe TCU contacted Jimbo Fisher down there at FSU, & got some good advice on how to deal with law enforcement, & stuff like that....

I remember the over-the-top coverage he and his family got during our game.  Some of the crews we've had were pretty much in the tank for the other guys. Equally, I don't want the dbags in the tank for us.  It would be nice for some straight play by play with some objective color in a broadcast.  Seems like many of the TV crews are fighting to be right or having the freshest take on stale subject.  Especially can't stand it when they botch the formation or play call...... Most of these guys were players and/or coaches and have been covering games for a while.  Doesn't take a fb genius to identify what's going on down on the field.

Maybe that's why all the soft subject matter during these broadcasts.
