If the 9 stays at 10-1 or higher (he's morning line 15-1), I'm all over him.  Though it is his first stakes race,  he's a lightly raced and improving horse.  His foes are more seasoned three year old stakes participants, but they have proven their top end, and 9's last Beyer is only .5 off of their best Beyers adjusted for weight.  If he continues to improve by the three or four Beyer points on which he has been improving, he wins.  There is enough speed in the race to set up his kick, the AQU turf course has been kind to closers, and I think he makes it 3 in a row.   I'll put him underneath the 2,3,4,5 and 8 in $40 exactas and put $300 on his nose.*

But, of course.  He opens at 5/2.

Odds saved me as he doesn't hit the board.  Not the brightest ride I've seen either.
