254 pound alligator gar caught in OK

An Oklahoma angler snags a 254 lb. alligator gar in Lake Texoma.  The fish was 8 feet long and had a 44 inch girth.  The fish was released after taking weight and measurements.

That a big one for sure.

I swear I've seen long nosed gar that big while fishing Beaver and Lake Sequoyah...talk about giving me the willies....
