We already knew what he was charged with.  Did you expect him to be found innocent?   Cases that involve illegally videotaping are pretty easy to prove when they have the video.

I don't know how much interest CBB has in this guy, but none of what the article reports he did is new information, it was known when he visited.  What I take from the article is he, by pleading guilty, is owning up to his actions, and taking whatever punishment he gets.  That's not the actions of your typical entitled troublemaker.

This isn't the type of crime you throw someone under the bus for committing.  It's the type of crime where you punish and offer a second chance on repentance.

Michigan was right to dismiss him, but they'd probably give a second chance to a player who committed the same crime elsewhere.  If Bielema feels that he's repented enough to receive a second chance, then I'm okay with it.  If he doesn't, then I'm okay with that too.

With the emergence of social media, this is more than "stuff we used to do in high school." People have committed suicide when these type of videos have gotten out.

I can respect that and I'm not saying he should be written off, I just don't think he would be a good representative for the University of Arkansas, which is what our student-athletes are. And I go back to my original point, when CBB goes on national media and announces that he hasn't recruited players because they had a "disgusting twitter handle," how can you really justify going after LTT?

Ok I see where you are coming from, but I personally believe this is a gray area type issue. If he was out robbing banks then, although I think the person can be rehabilitated, I wouldn't say I'm ready for him to be a part of the team.

I think there needs to be more information gathered on this situation. More than you and I can tell from a story on a police report. Neither of us can talk to him or her and see how it all went down. I trust the coach to make the right call here, even if it didn't work out. I just don't think he should be automatically written off because of a mistake. I know lots of people that have done dumb stuff, myself included; I also know it's worse if you get caught.

seriously I don't think this is that big of a deal. girl probably knew she was being filmed. it wasn't until he sent it to a buddy that she got mad. how do you film sex without someone knowing? oh let me pretend to text while banging you girl. no. she knew she was being filmed. probably thought it was hot. what wasn't hot was him sending it to someone else. what is dumb is that buddy ratting him out. I don't really find this that awful.

CBB knows this kid a whole better than us.  If the kid that knows he screwed up,  repents, and pays the penalty given to him by the court so that our coach is willing to bring him here and put him on a short lease then I am OK with it.

He took the video with her phone, so he must have sent it to his buddy from her phone, so it probably wasn't difficult for her to figure out he had sent it.

He made a mistake.  A big one!  It has cost him plenty.  But everything I have seen or heard from this young man is that he has owned his responsibility and learned from it.  I don't know if CBB takes him or not.  I am a pretty conservative guy but I believe the young man could benefit from another opportunity.  Whether that is at UofA or not is above my pay grade.

He does benefit from pleading guilty. All charges will be dropped if he completes a probation period

You are correct. I don't really understand why, but the girls really have a hard time coming forward and prosecuting the guy that rapes them. This has hit close to home recently, but all you can do is support.
