I'm glad this thread got to two pages.  It's the most important thing happening in college sports and whatever happens it will totally set the future path. Everyone should be paying attention.

Here's an older article that pretty well sums up the whole issue. It does sound like there's bipartisan congressional support for protecting the NCAA if they ever get around to acting.

Legislation is being introduced by congress. I'm sure there's going to be preferential treatment by the NCAA for football with congressional approval. The women may cry foul but with the current makeup of the Supreme Court it might not matter.

Man the Hogs just need to take care of this weekend and they'll lock up a top 8 seed. Win 2/3 this week and even if they get swept at A&M I think they stay in top 8. Let the Baum magic carry them. Once the regionals start who knows how the craziness will go, but playing at home until Omaha is the most important thing of the season for this offense. 

The rankings are all over the place. You can tell this one loves all the mid major guys. They have Jamir Watkins 30 something, whole 247 has him 6th i believe. While I am a big fan of Coach Schertz, his big fella Avila #1 transfer guy. Top 30ish? Yes. But #1? no.
