If anyone has played either one or both of these two courses over in Oklahoma, what were your impressions/thoughts about the course (difficulty, condition, any unique attributes, etc.)?  The Yardage, Course Rating, and Slope listed below for each course is from the back tee.

Blue Course-- Peninsula Resort & Club (Peninsula at Grand Lake), Afton, OK.  Formerly called Shangri-La Resort.  I have seen information showing the Date of the Blue Course as 1969 and the Date as being 1973.  Par 72  7,012 Yards  Course Rating: 73.7  Slope: 131  Architect: Donald Sechrest  The Blue Course is rated 4.5 Stars by Golf Digest.  Donald Sechrest is also the Architect of Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, which will be hosting a LPGA Event in September

Cherokee Hills Golf Club-- Catoosa, OK  1924  Par 70  6,637 Yards  Course Rating: 72.7  Slope: 126  Architect: Perry Maxwell; Redesign by Tripp Davis in 2004  John Daly played/practiced at Cherokee Hills Golf Club last week just prior to the PGA Championship at Southern Hills (also a course by Perry Maxwell).  Daly stated in his Press Conference last Thursday at the PGA Championship about his playing of Cherokee Hills Golf Club earlier that week.  It looks like that the Cherokee Hills Golf Club provided Daly some good practice for Southern Hills (Daly shot a 67 in the First Round of the PGA Championship).
