Arkansas State

This is somewhat uncharted territory for the RedWolves. The defending Sun Belt champs are in serious bowl trouble thanks to their 0-4 start. The most recent setback against Central Arkansas, a result that gave the Bears their first win in history against an FBS opponent, was particularly damaging.

Arkansas State now faces a short turnaround for a Wednesday night contest against Sun Belt front-runner Georgia Southern. The RedWolves are unlikely to be blanked completely with UL-Monroe, and New Mexico State remaining on their home slate, but getting to six wins will now be a challenge.

Blake Anderson, who like all good coaches is a little cocky, has had to eat more than his share of "humble pie" since losing to UCA, so just another slice.

Short turnaround? They haven't played since 9/24.

Some would argue they have not played since 12/5/2015.

That article had a couple of points that was wrong. The short turnaround wasn't short as it has been ten days since they played and UCA also beat WKU when Western, KY first went FBS. ASU was UCA's second win over a FBS team. As for bowl trouble ASU still has a margin of error in that they can lose one more game and still get bowl eligible by winning the other seven games left on the schedule and end up 7-5. However, I don't see them getting there.

For ASU? TONIGHT!  :D
I watched the 1st quarter of the game, and while it was obvious A-State was the more talented team on both sides of the ball, you could tell the players, especially Justice Hansen were pressing.

Their defense looked solid against the option, and the RB's were running hard, but the best thing was their OL looked pretty darn good against a solid GoSo DL in the 1st quarter.

Like the Utah St, and UCA game you could tell it would be more a case of would they beat themselves,  than GaSo beating them, and they sure did their best to do just that.

Here is a nice clip from ESPN:
