Is anyone watching the Jack documentary on the Golf Channel?

They've been building it up and it's actually pretty good.  Amazing how far he hit the ball with persimmon heads, balata balls, etc.

I bought some balata balls several years ago and couldn't figure out what the heck was going on.  I was coming up two clubs short on every approach.  I gave away the rest of the dozen.

Jack averaged farther off the tee as a 60 year old with a fake hip in 2000 than he did as a 40 year old who set the U.S. Open scoring record and lapped the field in the PGA in 1980.  That ought to tell us all we need to know about how much farther balls and clubs go than in the heyday of Jack, Arnie, and Hogan.
